General Help
  • Outlook Express Disconnects after receiving email. See Below:
    1. Click on Tools across the Top
    2. Select Options from the bottom of the menu that appears. A new window
      should appear.

    3. Click on Connections or Dial-Up across the top of this window
    4. Look for the sentence “Hang Up after sending/receiving..”. If it is
      checked, click on it to uncheck it.

    5. Click OK

    That should do it.

  • Outlook Express shows blank messages. Quick fix.
    1. Click on Start and Run

    2. Type in "regsrv32 inetcomm.dll" without the quotes
    3. Click OK
  • Internet Explorer gives Content Advisor error messages. See Below for a step-by-step fix:
    Alright. This entails editing the system registry. I am NOT responsible if something bad happens and your computer needs to be restored. Step Lightly.

    1. Make sure you are out of Internet Explorer
    2. Click on Start and Run.
    3. Type “regedit” without the quotes in the box and click OK.
    4. Click the + beside HKey_Local_MAchine
    5. Click the + beside Software
    6. Click the + beside Microsoft
    7. Click the + beside Windows>
    8. Click the + beside CurrentVersion
    9. Click the + beside Policies
    10. Click on the folder Ratings
    11. Hilite the Key entry in the right pane and delete it
    12. Close the Registry Editor

    That should do it.
