  • Thunderbird - has good junk controls that learn over time.
  • Norton AntiSpam - works with any email program but completely integrates
    with outlook express. It is also a part of Norton Internet Security.

  • Filters/Message Rules to help cut down on Spam
    • If it is not TO your email address, it is probably spam(Outlook Express, href="/help-old/spam/thunderbird-to.php">Thunderbird)

    • If it is FROM your email address, it is probably spam(Outlook Express, href="/help-old/spam/thunderbird-from.php">Thunderbird) - only if you do not send yourself emails regularly.

    • If it is has common junk in the SUBJECT, it is probably spam(Outlook Express, href="/help-old/spam/thunderbird-subject.php">Thunderbird)

    • If it is larger than 35k, it is probably spam(Outlook Express, Thunderbird???) - only if
      you do not normally receive
      attachments!!!
