WindowsXP/2000
  • There is a command to “replace” TCP/IP in XP. Since XP has TCP/IP built-in, you cannot easily remove it.
    1. Click on Start -> Run

    2. Type in “cmd” without the quotes and click ok
    3. type in the following without the quotes and hot enter: “netsh int ip reset c:\tcp.log”
    4. Type “exit” and hit enter
  • If the above doesn’t work, try this program, WinsockXPFix.exe (1.4Mb) that
automatically runs the netsh command and fixes the system registry.
Save it to your desktop and double-click it to run.
