TCP/IP Help
WindowsXP/2000
- There is a command to “replace” TCP/IP in XP. Since XP has TCP/IP built-in, you cannot easily remove it.
- Click on Start -> Run
- Type in “cmd” without the quotes and click ok
- type in the following without the quotes and hot enter: “netsh int ip reset c:\tcp.log”
- Type “exit” and hit enter
- If the above doesn’t work, try this program, WinsockXPFix.exe (1.4Mb) that
automatically runs the netsh command and fixes the system registry.
Save it to your desktop and double-click it to run.
