PumpkinYes, he’s a German Shepherd. Yes, he’s a boy. And yes, his name is Pumpkin. That’s because he’s as sweet as pie. This 3-year-old pup will steal your heart from the moment you lay eyes on his handsome face. He craves the company of other dogs, and he’s very comfortable around kids. Pumpkin is a staff favorite, due to his endless charm and happy-go-lucky spirit. He’s one of those dogs that is simply a joy to be around, and he’s hoping very much that he’ll get to spend the rest of his life around you.

LexiOh Lexi, you little diva. This fabulous feline knows exactly who she is, and she’s not afraid to let everyone know. When she wants cuddles, you WILL indeed give her the attention she desires. And when she wants alone time, you will respect that as well. She’s a spirited little firecracker and as pretty as a picture. Lexi is a two-year-old tabby with white down her chest and on her feet. And with the light rust-colored markings around her nose and muzzle, she looks like a little tiger.

DaveSingle, one-year-old male pittie mix with a sleek, brindle coat and dreamy brown eyes seeks forever family, preferably where all members enjoy lots of hugs and plenty of playtime in the back yard. Great with kids and enjoys the company of other dogs. Chew toys and tennis balls are a must. But the most important thing of all is love. And lots of it. If interested, please come to the Humane Society of Greenwood and ask to meet Dave.

MaggieThe magnificent Maggie is waiting patiently for that lucky someone who will call her their own. She’s a truly gorgeous feline – a black and white tuxedo with HUGE golden-yellow eyes and a sweet personality to match. She’s a bit bashful at first but loves attention, and a few scratches and head rubs will immediately result in a gentle purr. Maggie is about 8 months old, so she’s still quite youthful in her demeanor, enjoying any and all toys. She’s lived with other cats and a small dog, so she should be happy in just about any loving home.

Pets of the Week March 16, 2020

DasherDasher’s name is fitting for a couple of reasons. First, he’s quite, well, dashing. A handsome 2-year-old mixed breed with a sleek black coat, a happy, expressive face, and adorable ears. And secondly, he is FAST. This boy likes to run, whether it’s chasing a tennis ball around the play yard, keeping up with a canine companion, or simply racing in the wind for the pure pleasure of it. Dasher is loving and affectionate, and all he’s hoping for in life is a home where he can get lots of exercise, then curl up with his humans at night. Your home, perhaps?

VioletNamed for those beloved spring flowers, our Violet is just as gorgeous. She is a stunning lynx-point tabby with brilliantly blue eyes, a uniquely beautiful coat, and a delightful personality. She’s only a year old, so she has her playful side for sure, but she appears to be mostly interested in being petted and scratched and just generally adored. Once you meet her, you will love her. There simply is no other choice. Violet would like nothing more than to bring a bit of beauty into your home.

BradYou’d be hard pressed to find a sweeter, more playful pup than Brad. This 18-month-old Plott Hound mix has a ton of energy and enough love in his heart to light up your entire house. He’s one of those pooches that dog toys were made for, and it is his ardent desire to play with every other dog he sees. Brad isn’t short on good looks either. He’s a handsome light brindle with darker brown on the end of his muzzle, around his nose. He also has an adorable bobbed tail that adds to his overall charm. Do yourself a favor, and come meet Brad today.

Invisible Man 2020

Much better attempt at modernizing the Universal Monsters over The Mummy. The first half gives the viewer a peak into someone escaping and living with the aftermath of an intense, abusive relationship. This aftermath only gets worse when the titular Invisible Man shows up to terrorize her more.

In keeping with recent movies like the Child’s Play reboot, technology is the vehicle for terror instead of magic or alchemy.

Unfortunately, plot holes aplenty begin cropping up in the last third of the film. Enough to take me out of the narrative and say that doesn’t make sense.
