Pets of the Week August 12, 2019

FudgeFudge is just as sweet and delightful as his name suggests. His beaming smile and wiggly greeting are the first things you’ll come to love, but once you get to know him, there’s nothing about this wonderful pup that won’t bring you joy. He’s a 2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a white and brindle coat, light brown eyes, and enough personality for 10 dogs. He loves everyone he meets, and he’s looking for someone who will let him run off his considerable amount of energy, then crash on the couch with a movie and popcorn. Fudge truly is a treat not to be missed.

HeatherTo say Heather is a love bug would be an understatement. This fabulous feline is all about the cuddles. And she’s not one of those cats that’s choosy about when she gets attention either. She basically wants to be the center of attention all day, every day. So if you’re looking for a lap cat, look no further than this 7-month-old sweetie. Heather is truly gorgeous as well, with her soft gray coat and huge yellow-green eyes. Swing by today to meet the new love of your life.

PumbaaCalling all Lion King fans. Meet Pumbaa, the kindhearted goofball. And with his lovely fawn color and big, prominent ears, he even looks a bit like his namesake. But it’s this pup’s personality that will win you over. At just under 2 years old, he’s loaded with energy, so he needs a yard in which to run or plenty of nice long walks. He loves spending time with people, but he’s capable of entertaining himself, as well, and best of all, he’s polite and never pushy. Pumbaa adores treats, but he takes any offerings very gently. Overall, he’s just a great dog.

DipstickDon’t let Dipstick’s name fool you – he’s no dummy. In fact, he got his name because his black tail looks like it was dipped in oil. You’ll love this four-year-old’s other markings as well. His white coat is adorned with a black heart on his back and the most adorable black spot on his nose that looks like it was painted on. He’s a loving, affectionate kitty who craves attention. He is FIV positive, but that’s no big deal. It basically just means he needs to stay inside, so he has less chance of getting any illnesses. But guess what? Inside is exactly where he likes to be.

DixieDixie is definitely a Southern girl – she’s sugar and spice with a dash of good humor and a whole lot of heart. This four-year-old Boxer mix greets everyone with the same sweet hospitality, giving them the opportunity to show her the love she deserves. When she’s in the mood, she likes to show off her playful side, but when it comes time to relax, she’s a natural. With her pretty brindle and white coat and big, dark brown eyes, she was simply made for the spotlight and will happily pose for the camera any time you want to show her off. Come fall in love with Dixie before someone else does.

TaylorTaylor is a quiet, gentle soul with one desire: to be given the chance to sit in your lap and be petted and brushed for as long as possible. She’s endearingly bashful at first, but once she realizes you’re there to give her the attention she so desperately wants, she’ll start talking and displaying her sweet and loving disposition. Taylor is a truly wonderful kitty, about 18 months old, with a beautiful orange and white coat and expressive yellow-orange eyes. She needs you as much as you need her.

Pets of the Week July 15, 2019

SpotSee Spot run. See Spot jump. See Spot win your heart. Like the black and white pup in the classic children’s story, this sweet boy is sure to keep you on your toes. He’s just a little over a year old, so you know what that means – loads of energy. Spot truly enjoys the company of people, proving happiest when he can run, play, and swoop in for some snuggles. A handsome Dalmatian-Retriever mix, his coat is mostly white with a few splotches of black here and there, including across the right side of his face and his left ear. See Spot find his forever home with you.

LaylaSimply put, Layla is one of the most beautiful cats you’re likely to see any time soon. She’s a big girl with a medium-long coat of dark gray hair and huge yellow-golden eyes that give you a glimpse into her kind, gentle heart. She loves to be held and will cuddle right into your chest, rubbing her face against you and offering little kisses, all while she’s purring up a storm. Layla is about 2 years old, so she’s well past the wild kitten phase of life, but she still enjoys having a few fun toys around. Come fall in love with Layla before someone else does.
