Pets of the Week May 25, 2020

BeansHow could you possibly resist a dog called Beans? Especially when he has everything going for him to accompany his playful name. Beans is about 6 months old, but for such a young dog, he’s actually quite calm, seeming to prefer cuddles rather than lots of energetic play. He’s eager to please and intelligent, already learning commands, as he wants to be the best companion he can possibly be. And on top of all that, he’s cute as a button. Beans is a light tan-and-white pittie-boxer mix with a sweet face that reflects his gentle, loving soul.

PhoenixAre you searching for a frisky furry friend to brighten your days? Perhaps one that’s charming, funny, and adorable as well? Phoenix is your man. Or cat, actually. He’s about 5 months old and full of flirtatious kitten energy. He LOVES attention and can turn anything into a toy for his own amusement. A black and brown tabby with spots almost like a Bengal and big, golden-green eyes, he’s just as handsome as he is affectionate and fun.

TogaHandsome, affectionate, smart, silly, playful, adorable. All of those describe Toga, and yet, you have to meet him in person to get a true feel for his personality. He’s a two-year-old brindle-and-white pittie mix with the cutest black patch on his otherwise pink nose. The black runs down over his lip to his chin, giving the impression he stuck his nose into a paint bucket. Toga has loads of energy, and he’d be absolutely delighted if he could have a doggy playmate. Won’t you welcome this sweet boy into your family?

PoeIf you’re looking for someone with whom you can have long talks into the wee hours of the morning, Poe is your man. This cat loves to talk. He wants to be petted and scratched. A lot. And he’s very vocal when he doesn’t think he’s getting all of the attention he deserves. Poe is about 3 years old, and such a good-looking fellow – a handsome grey-and-white tabby with bright yellow-green eyes. He is FIV positive, but that’s no big deal. It basically just means he needs to stay inside, so he has less chance of getting any illnesses. You need Poe, and Poe needs you.

CooperWith this gorgeous weather, you may be seeking a companion for those hikes, jogs, or long walks. Look no further than Cooper. This handsome one-year-old tan-and-white mixed breed is hoping for a home with an active family who will include him in all of their outdoor activities. He’s well-mannered on a leash, eager to please, and very smart (he already sits like a CHAMP). Cooper likes other dogs and enjoys meeting new people, and although he enjoys the great outdoors, he should also make a great housedog.

GabrielA special cat needs a special name. Gabriel is one dashing feline – solid white with golden eyes. But it’s his personality that puts him over the top. Loving and gentle, quick to purr, and playful, he’s simply irresistible. Gabriel finds a lot of joy in a variety of cat toys, but his favorite thing to do is climb, so he’s hoping he’ll be able to have his own cat tree, so he can get the exercise and entertainment he desires. And when he’s worn himself out, he’ll gladly come seeking a few snuggles and scratches.

ZeldaZelda will do zoomies around your yard and straight into your heart. There’s no escaping her delightful, playful appeal. Highly energetic and always happy, this one-year-old black-and-white retriever mix is eager to please, and she never meets a stranger. She thinks other dogs are pretty awesome as well, but she isn’t too fond of cats. Zelda is dreaming of a forever home where she can run and play, then plop into a lap for a well-deserved nap.

MickyMeet Micky, a gorgeous 2-year-old black-and-white tuxedo kitty with big golden-yellow eyes and a truly sweet personality. She’s a little bashful at first, but it becomes obvious very quickly that all she really wants is to be close to someone. She gives the sweetest Eskimo kisses and head butts – how could you possibly resist THAT? Micky loves to have a hiding spot, where she can feel safe and snuggled, although she’ll probably end up snuggling in your lap more than anywhere else.

DasherGet ready to fall in love. Dasher is a handsome 2-year-old mixed breed with a sleek black coat, a happy, expressive face, and adorable ears. And his name, Dasher, is quite fitting because he is FAST. This boy likes to run, whether it’s chasing a tennis ball around the play yard, keeping up with a canine companion, or simply racing in the wind for the pure pleasure of it. Dasher is loving and affectionate, and all he’s hoping for in life is a home where he can get lots of exercise, then curl up with his humans at night.

NatashaNatasha isn’t just a pretty face. She has a lovely personality to match. Very outgoing and even-tempered, she enjoys being scratched behind her ears and down her back, and she’s not afraid to tell you when she wants attention – she’s a talker. Natasha is currently in a foster home, and she gets along well with all of her four-legged foster siblings, canine and feline alike. Natasha is about 3 years old, but she looks younger, because she’s so petite. You know you need this gorgeous gray-and-white tabby in your life, so call today set up a meet and greet.
