Pets of the Week February 8, 2016

Wimbley
Wiggly Wimbley is an athletic, medium-sized Terrier mix. This ready-to-please pooch is part Casanova and part cartoon. He loves to give kisses to all visitors and romp around showing off his most amusing comedic antics. His short caramel brown coat, dappled with white on the chest, shimmers in the sunlight. This six-month-old puppy is already a social butterfly enjoying people of all ages and other pets. Wimbley is at the perfect age to learn how to live in your house with your family. Visit this bright-eyed boy soon and see if he’s the one for you.

Charlie
Charlie is a cookie batter beige and it appears as though he may have enjoyed a bowl or two of the fattening food. But it could be that his fluffiness gives the illusion of being over sized. You can spend all the time you like trying to figure it out because he likes to stay curled up in his comfy cat bed for hours. He doesn’t move. Charlie the bachelor cat enjoys his single life, but is open to sharing his space with other cats, but not so much with dogs. This mellow yellow gentle giant is the perfect fit for a low to medium-activity home. Meet Charlie and you’ll find yourself wanting to curl up beside him and nap.

Pets of the Week February 1, 2016

Michael
Little 8-month-old Michael is a certified lap dog through and through. This Terrier and Chihuahua mix is a tad shy at first, but offer him a lap to sit in and he’s your instant best friend. Toys and comfy blankets are two of his favorite things and if he has both, he is one happy guy. He is alert and curious and, at the slightest sound, will go to check it out. He is both loyal and protective and will easily become attached to one family member of the house, but still be a socialable family member. Visit with Michael and you’ll find yourself quickly falling in love.

Murray
Rough and tumble, but very sweet and cuddly, Murray is an original. Very comfortable in his own skin, and able to relax anywhere, he doesn’t need much to be content. Lying in your lap, lounging on your couch, or lingering late in the morning on your bed, Murray can always find a place to rest and be happy. This five-year-old teddy bear of a cat could be an in-home remedy for insomnia. If you’re around him for too long your eyelids will seem heavier and a desire to nap undeniable. If you visit Murray, be sure to bring a pillow and blanket because you’ll soon be … zzzzzzzzzz.

Pets of the Week January 25, 2016

Roger Dodger
Roger Dodger is not only the playful phrase WWII servicemen used to signed off their radios, this Roger Dodger is a playful, medium-sized, 6-year-old Boxer mix who has his own unique style and flair. Although neutered, he considers himself quite the “ladies’ dog” preferring their company than to his male counterparts. True to the Boxer personality, Roger Dodger is playful, devoted, loyal, energetic, friendly, calm, cheerful, confident, fearless, brave, and intelligent. What more could anyone want in a doggie companion? Meet this handsome guy, look into his soulful amber-colored eyes, and it’s all over but the crying.

Bagheera
Named after the black panther character in Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book,” Bagheera is a cool cat who likes to sing. It may not actually be “singing” as much as an expression of his dismay that his food bowl is empty. This 7-year-old black beauty is extraordinarily loving, although he’s not as fond of being picked up, but he does enjoy a gentle petting or scratch behind the ears. Like a panther, Bagheera’s pace is generally slow, steady, and relaxed, until it’s mealtime. Adopt Bagheera today and add some fun and beauty to your life.

Pets of the Week January 18, 2016

BJ
This 6-month-old Jack-A-Bee (Jack Russell/Beagle mix) is affectionate, alert, independent, intelligent, lively, loving, loyal, and outgoing. ? ??BJ and toys make the cutest couple?. Watching him, with his short legs, attempt to roll and tumble with a stuff animal that’s bigger than he is will provide more fun and entertainment than any TV show or movie. This stout fella will grow to be a medium-sized guy who is sure to keep everyone on their toes with his natural gift of playfulness. To keep ?BJ? healthy? and happy?, ?regular exercise and trips to the dog park are in order. ?Jack-A-Bees are very social and love to be around people and other dogs.? Want more activity and laughter in your life? Visit BJ and let him be your new family friend.?

Jasmine
?Have you ever had a blue cat? This 6-month-old, blue kitty is named Jasmine, after the fragrant Persian flower, and she loves to perch up high and look around at all that’s going on. Reserved and a bit shy, she is every bit a princess, like the royal character of Disney’s “Aladdin.” Comfort, calm, and quiet are what she desires most from the home she will live in. This “aristocatic” beauty is definitely one-of-a-kind and what an honor it will for the person whom she befriends.

Pets of the Week January 11, 2016

Dixie
This Redbone Coonhound mix is even-tempered, amiable, and kindly, but a tiger on the trail. Sure-footed and swift, Dixie keeps her nose to the ground sniffing out whatever she can find to fulfill her innate need for wanderlust. She needs a large fenced yard to keep her close to home and to provide her ample room for exercise and play. Her adopter needs to be a firm, but calm, confident, consistent leader to help her stay mentally focused. Dixie loves people and would make a great indoor and outdoor companion for someone who enjoys regular outdoor exercise and will be sure to take her along. In a home setting, she is affectionate and wants to please; however, Dixie and cats do not mix. Like any true Hound, Dixie loves to hunt cats or any other non-canine pets. But with other dogs, she’s a peach! Meet this strikingly attractive, laid back girl and you’ll wonder why she waited so long to come into your life.

Flint
A fuzzy, wuzzy, crazy kitten is Flint. At four-months-old he’s learning to flex his superboy powers of play. And play is what he does all day, and that could be due to his recent introduction to catnip — medicinal, of course. He plays with toys, people, blankets, lint, the air — anything really. And loving? This guy is already a master of amore, that’s Italian for “love.” And his affection of choice is smooching, that’s English for “kiss.” Yes, Flint knows his gorgeous blue gray coat gives him a leg up because when he’s not smooching others, he’s being cuddled by volunteers and staff. Flint’s the man, alright. How can you resist this comical charmer?
