Pets of the Week January 7, 2013

Honor his intelligence and independence — proud hallmarks of his sled dog ancestry — and our majestic young almond-colored Siberian Husky/Shar-Pei mix Chevy can become the show dog of your heart and home. True to his background, one-year-old Chevy’s athletic, confident and naturally well-behaved, full of amiable energy and the potential to become a stellar family dog. He was found stray; perhaps his previous owners didn’t give him both the focused attention and the room to run he needs. Chevy’s good on a leash and already partially house trained; his heart’s as big and playful as the rest of him. We recommend an inside/outside environment for Chevy, one filled with mutual devotion. Meet the stuff that legends are made of; our legend’s name is “Chevy.”

She’s a tortoise shell cat extraordinaire, spun of silky gold and soft onyx, with a 24-carat heart that never stops showing how “into you” she really is. Five-year-old Cindy’s a pure extrovert — attentive, outgoing, fun-loving, and the finest of friend-makers; she’ll hop on your shoulder to snuggle and visit, and then shine her sparkling social spirit on other pets too. (In fact Cindy comes from a home where she befriended a Rottweiler, don’t big dogs need buddies?). Cindy’s owner could no longer care for her, too many pets; now she’s ready to grace you and yours with a wealth of affection. Cindy’s already spayed and micro-chipped, set to start your New Year off today with the loyal companionship you both so richly deserve. Visit and wonder how you ever lived without her.
