Pets of the Week November 25, 2013

Sable
Smiling 3-year-old “Sable” is an Australian Cattle dog mix, but when she was surrounded by kids at the recent Starbucks event all she herded was hearts! Now she’s at Camp Chinquapin, where she’s determined to live up to her breed’s ranking as one of the most intelligent and trainable dogs — she can already sit, lie down and speak for a treat. Sable’s been completely trustworthy in every setting, no heel-nipping in sight, just a happy, outgoing sidekick making friends with everyone, including other dogs. At 47 lbs. she’s just right for picking up and hugging — and she’s a favorite with dog-walking volunteers, too. The only outback Sable needs is a nice yard, and she prizes YOU over any cattle that come her way. Visit Sable at Camp Chinquapin and see how much loyalty’s bred into one shiny young girl, and how perfectly our little Aussie can complete your family.

Jess
Her nose is pure gold and her instant purr’s equally precious; 9-month-old calico “Jess” was found stray, a tri-color treasure (she has onyx and immaculate white markings, too) whose richest reward is being close to you. Hold her and she’ll relax in your arms, quiet but not a bit shy, a bright jewel of a friend who gets along fine with other cats, keeps a tidy box, and prizes your attention above all else. Gentle Jess would make an exquisite choice for kids and would thrive as your inside/outside pet; her only request is that you receive the wealth of affection she has to give. Visit Jess at Petsmart and see what 24 carat companionship feels like, then take Jess home and enjoy her forever.
