Pets of the Week December 29, 2014

Leroy
Leroy has all the appeal of an old timer’s storytelling, but he’s ready to start his own brand new adventure. The Plott Hound has a fine reputation as a beloved hunting companion and family member, and Leroy is an excellent example of his breed. So loved in North Carolina, Plott Hounds are the state’s official dog. Leroy has the stamina to make a wonderful workout buddy and will need ample time exercising outdoors; his athletic nature and loud bay make him better suited for a home with access to a yard. Leroy’s treeing instinct doesn’t please many felines so a home without a kitty cat will be where he’s hoping to head soon. He’s only three years old but Leroy is gentle and well-mannered with people of all ages, and his handsome red brindle coat is easy to keep clean. He’s always happy wagging his tail while on the lookout for that special family waiting to start a new adventure of their own. He’s got boundless love and fun to give, and he’s ready to make your family complete!

Steve
Ever charming, Steve is a cat who’s as handsome as he is clever. Steve prefers to stay ahead of the game, so he keeps his huge amber eyes wide open for good things to come his way. He’s a substantial Classic Tabby with a thick, velvety coat. His fur gleams in rich warm tones, and his big soft paws love to reach out and “ask” you for a pat on the shoulder. Steve is the kind of feline that finds himself at home in most situations, so he’d be very happy living inside and out. Friendly as can be, Steve does well with other kitties. He prefers companionship so much that he has many times been found curled up in his neighbor’s kennel. 4 years old, calm and courteous, this furry friend is ready to head home today! He’s been talking up a storm about the life he hopes to lead with his forever family, and he’s keeping an eye out for that special loving person to walk through the door. A warm lap to curl up in is all this laid back kitty is dreaming of for the holidays.
