Wags
Wags knows how to make an entrance! She is a 4-year-old dancer who will shimmy, swirl, and sashay right into your heart. This little American Staffordshire Terrier, with her dark brindle and short chic coat, is graceful as can be leash walking with volunteers and is friendly greeting new faces with her starlet smile. She prefers to have the spotlight and will do best in a home with calmer, low-key dogs. Wags has lived inside before and her house manners are befitting such a prima ballerina. This show-stopping girl is ready to impress and hopes to twirl into the arms or her forever family.

Malibu
Everyone has a “happy place” where the hectic pace and strife of the world melts away, and for Malibu she dreams of a quiet getaway in the comfort of a loving home. This adorable short-haired feline has a white coat patched with brown tabby stripes. She stays nestled under her security blanket during the busiest parts of the day, peeking out for chin rubs and back scratches. Even though her life has turned upside down, Malibu has remained gentle as an island breeze. She lets people of all ages love on her and is fine with other cats and dogs. Malibu is only one-and-a-half years old and will provide a lifetime of love to her lucky forever family. Visit Malibu and see how your home could become a paradise.

Brookey
Brookey is a beach bum at heart with dreams of sand between her toes. When you see her sunny disposition you would never suspect that this happy go lucky, one-year-old pup was ever at risk of an uncertain future. Brookey was diagnosed with heartworm disease at the shelter, but with treatment and plenty of care, Brookey is all smiles now and ready to find a forever home. She’s a spunky blonde, with trendy white highlights; her medium size and bright mind make her a great fit for homes of any shape or size. Brookey would love to have fun in the sun with the whole family, and could fit well into the life of one special person or a family full of dog savvy children. She is a treasure chest just waiting to be found, and all you’ll need to bring and ocean of love to your home is a visit with this one of a kind girl.

Connie
Connie offers an opportunity for friendship that doesn’t come around every day. A turnkey cat with a wealth of standout traits, she is full-grown and about 3 years old, but her petite frame gives her a kitten’s appearance. Her onyx coat gleams with a tiny white star peeking out from her chest. Connie cuddles with volunteers young and old and she also plays well with other pets. Her friendly face is one of the first to greet visitors to the Adoption Center and she never shies away from making a new friend. As if she was made-to-order, Connie even has impeccable house manners and could happily live indoors. Her litter box stays tidy and her sleek coat requires little care, so Connie would make a wonderful new pet for first time cat owners, as well as seasoned pros. Meet Connie today for the opportunity to make a lifelong feline friend.

Pets of the Week May 4, 2015

Sasha
Sasha has a regal and noble bearing, but don’t be fooled; she is a fun-loving athlete with a heart of gold. Sasha is a medium-sized, active girl with a playful attitude. At 3-years-young, she’s the perfect companion for jogging or taking a leisurely walk. She has attended several meet and greets events, and proved to be great around people young and old. Her gold medal winning personality is rooted in her Retriever and American Staffordshire Terrier heritage and exceling on and off the field with her impressive loose leash walking, “sit”, and “down” skills. Sasha only has her eyes on one more prize — she hopes to win the hearts and home of a loving family. Come visit this golden girl today and see what makes Sasha such a star.

Cinder
Cinder has taken the phrase “work hard, play hard” to heart, only he prefers to skip the first step and head straight to playing hard. He’s a black and white, fluff ball of fun whose hijinks can make even the grumpiest souls grin. Cinder is 8 months old and has almost perfected his pounce. He would make a great indoor/outdoor kitty and could easily keep up with the most energetic family members. Cinder wins over other pets as easily as he does people, and plays well with cats and dogs alike. He hasn’t met any horses, goats, or piggies yet, but Cinder is pretty sure he could figure out how to play with them too. He’s all set to give a new family lots to laugh about and start a new adventure today!
