Pets of the Week April 27, 2015

Starla
Starla is an American Shar Pei and Retriever mix whose pure spirit beams outward as a gleaming example of canine trust. Steady and true, this 6 year old lady is as gentle as the evening breeze. Her short, creamy coat is irresistibly soft and Starla’s medium size makes her well-suited for enjoying inside cuddle time. She offers a half-smile when she makes a new friend, which elicits a full one in return. Starla has been very well-mannered with children and easygoing pets, and her leash walking skills are out of this world. As she patiently awaits for a family to bring her into her their home, Starla’s heart continues to shine unconditional love to all. Come spend just one minute with her and it’s guaranteed that your heart will melt

Moon
You may already be awestruck at Moon’s beauty, but the wonder doesn’t end with a pretty face. This handsome gentleman has a stellar personality to match his starlit coat. Moon has no idea that he is 6 years old, preferring to maintain a kitten’s curious and playful nature. He’s a big bundle of fun, and ready to fill your arms with snuggles and your house with laughter. Moon has sensitive petal pink skin and will need to while away his days inside. But worry not, because his litter box manners are clean and neat. He has a real soft spot for playing with toy mice and hopes his forever home will have plenty of new friends to play with. Moon has won the hearts of volunteers young and old, but he’s dreaming of a family to call his own. Come see why everyone is Moon-struck over this wonderful cat today!

Pets of the Week April 20, 2015

Polly
Polly peers quietly from her kennel, unsure of the great, big world around her. Being in the Animal Shelter seems to be a bit confusing for this 3-year-old Hound and American Pit Bull Terrier Mix. Her sensitive nature urges her to stay close and she constantly looks to the people and pets around her for reassurance. Polly has one of the most trusting souls; no matter how timid she may be in a new situation, she focuses on the humans around her. With a little time she always finds the courage to greet people and get the affectionate embrace she adores. Polly is a medium-sized dog that will thrive in a home that can build up her confidence and show her just how wonderful this world can be.

Yang
Yang is a lady of leisure, but she does have one job that she takes very seriously. She has made it her life’s work to fill a lucky home with as much love as possible. This 6 year old plumpy cat wakes up early every morning to make sure that her kennel is neat and that all the beds and blankets are ready for afternoon naps. Yang makes sure that every inch of her short black and white coat is spotless and ready for people to pet. She has spent years studying “The Art of Cuddles” and has mastered her lessons on “Relaxation with Humans.” The ultimate indoor house cat, Yang feels she is ready for her big promotion to a corner window in a forever home. She is ready to meet her new family today and will happily seek an interview with visitors to the Adoption Center. You could be one warm and happy hug away from bringing home your newest family member.

Pets of the Week April 13, 2015

Suede
With a personality as smooth as silk, Suede makes your heart feel warm and fuzzy. She is a stunning American Staffordshire Terrier mix — 3 years young — with a calm, content nature, and has a gorgeous coffee-colored coat with creamy swirls around her face and chest. Her eyes glitter golden each time she meets a friendly face and she is wonderfully well-behaved with children of all ages. Suede is easy going enough to live indoors and would not need a yard as long as lively walks could be provided each day. She is a very bright dog and has excelled at the basics, but will truly blossom in a family that will fulfill her need to learn. Suede is patiently waiting to find a home that will wrap her up in love and is ready to go home with her forever family today.

Nick
Nick has masterful way with words, or at least that’s what he thinks. He is a frisky 3 year old fella with a gift for gab. Nick will happily “talk” with you each morning before he starts his day at your side. He is well suited to live as a house cat or to adventure outside during the day. His active nature may even make him a hard working hunter, although he may be more interested in chatting with mice, instead of chasing. Nick has a short, pitch-black coat that he keeps squeaky clean, and yellow eyes that seem lit from within. He is friendly and playful with people young and old and he happily plays with other pets. Nick’s honed his communication skills and is ready to get his big break. He’s waiting for a home to fill with entertainment and a family’s love that will leave him speechless.

Pets of the Week April 6, 2015

Bobby
A bundle of bubbly bliss, Bobby has pep in his step. This 10-month-old blonde Terrier mix can leap and hop as high as any bunny and would love to help your family hunt for eggs every Easter holiday. He is a knee-high, blonde pup who’s a great size for a home big or small. Bobby is very good with other dogs and can keep even the biggest playmate on its toes. Give him a chance to leap into your arms and you’ll see how quickly he can complete your heart. Bobby does well with children, but his acrobatic hijinks make him more suitable for older, more active children. Bobby would also be a great match for families looking to get out and about together, as he would thrive on hiking, swimming, and dog sports like agility. Come let Bobby spring into your life and get a fresh start this season!

Fancy
She’s so fancy and she already knows that life is all about the company you keep. Fancy is a very petite feline and at 2 years old will likely stay smaller-sized throughout her life. Fancy has a short silver hued coat with beautifully placed white highlights. She has been a dream inside, with perfect indoor etiquette and litterbox manners that are almost too good to be true (almost). Fancy does prefer the life of leisure and is best suited for an indoor home that she can grace with her charms. She loves to sit and cuddle, and will happily spend the whole day in your lap or by your side. Come see this splendid kitty cat today and add I little something special to your home.
