Pets of the Week March 30, 2015

Bonita
If beauty is as beauty does, then Bonita is the perfect package. Just as lovely on the inside as she is shining out to the world. A Bonnie Boxer mix, with a short white coat and bright brindle patches, she turns heads and warms hearts by just being “her.” Bonita is 7-years-old and at that wonderful age when she can be calm and content all day long, but still bounce and play with a puppy’s spirit. She would be a wonderful choice for families with children or other like-minded canine companions. Her laid back energy makes this larger gal a good fit for homes large and small as long as she can go on a nice walk with her favorite pals. Bonita is looking to add beauty to the lives of her new forever family with a lifetime of love and loyalty.

Jameson
Jameson is a superhero in the making. This 1-year-old dynamo is ready to swoop into your life and save the day. Jameson’s iron grey armor is soft and sleek, and his powers of persuasion make even the biggest kitty-sceptics melt. By day, Jameson is a well-mannered house cat happily living with pets and people alike, but if boredom or worries happen to strike the family he loves, he’ll spring into action with acrobatic antics that will brighten the bluest of day. Jameson knows that he’s destined to rescue a lucky family and become the champion of a home in need of a furry avenger. Come and visit him today and begin the next chapter if an epic adventure with Jameson.

Pets of the Week March 23, 2015

Blake
Blake is a fan favorite with an entire cheerleading squad at his back. How could you not root for such a handsome and happy dog? Blake is a rip-roaring 5-year-old Border collie and German Shepherd dog cross with loyalty and smarts aplenty. He sports a thick, midnight black coat with just enough grey on his muzzle to give him a distinguished, worldly look. Blake isn’t all business though, he loves to play with people and pets alike. Blake is medium-sized and was an indoor dog in the past, so he could settle in easily to most homes and would even be a great pick for apartment life with an active owner. Blake is ready to take his popularity to new heights by becoming the heart of a new family. Come and visit Blake today, to see what everybody’s cheering about and you just might find your very own biggest fan.

Berni
He’s bashful at first, but it only takes an instant for Bernie to warm right up and cuddle into a friendly embrace. Bernie loves to be held and he can never get enough soft chin scratches. He’s a dashing feline with an impeccably tailored tuxedo coat, a “homebody” who prefers to keep his kennel spic and span. He is just over 2 years old and gets along happily with cats and dogs alike. His patience and laid back “cattitude” will make him a marvelous member of a family with children. Bernie may be a quiet kitty, but he’s also quite the ham when it comes to tussling with toy mice or showing off his dance moves while chasing the beam of a laser pointer. He’s ready to head home today and start sharing long naps in a comfy chair with you because those are always best when curled up with a feline friend. Bernie can be visited at Petsmart in Greenwood.

Pets of the Week March 16, 2015

Ozzie
Ozzie oozes optimism, and positive energy! This 11-month-old pup knows how to play, and can brighten your spirits in a flash. Ozzie is a medium-sized Australian Cattle Dog mix who retains much of the breed’s spunky drive and high intelligence. His bouncy personality may not mesh well with all pets, so he’s looking for a family who is puppy savvy and ready for an energetic new playmate. Ozzie has an “easy keeper” black coat with patches of white ticking. He would do best in a home that has an outdoor space for exercise and a family who can keep him active and engaged. This friendly pup has yet to figure out what the word “stranger” means, since he’s too busy making friends with everyone he sees. Ozzie loves to learn and is ready to add that missing spark to his new family’s life today!

Tiny
Tiny stays perched off the floor of his kennel, curled up so tightly that he completely hides his handsome head. But through all the stress and uncertainty that this kind kitty has faced, Tiny has never once mustered the slightest hiss or raised his paw in fear. Tiny is only 2 years old and has the gentlest soul you will ever find. Ironically, he is a large, handsome cat who keeps his short, white and brown spotted coat well-groomed. His kennel stays so clean that you may not even notice a cat is residing inside. Tiny does prefer an extra litter pan available, but who doesn’t like to keep their bathrooms clean? Tiny had his front claws removed as a kitten so he will need to live indoors only; but worry not, for he has the best house manners around. Tiny is a remarkably loving and forgiving feline, who is longing to find a family who will love him just as unconditionally as he does, and give him time to settle into his new surroundings. Tiny deserves for his dreams to come true, and a forever family is all this wonderful cat desires.

Pets of the Week March 9, 2015

Sven
An ancient Nordic name could imply that he’s a “Viking” of a dog, but the name “Sven” actually means “boy” and that fits this pup perfectly. Sven has rare and rugged good looks with a weather proof onyx colored coat. His mixed heritage of Siberian Husky and German Shepherd dog means that “athletic,” “intelligent,” “loyal,” and “playful” are words that just skim the surface of wonderful traits that describe Sven. He is only a bit over 2 years old and still has plenty of youthful spirit. His boyish charm extends into a friendly personality and Sven has always played well with children and other pets of all age and size. He has happily greeted strangers at events and would be a great companion for those looking to explore the wide world with a faithful friend at their side. Sven would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, and will require plenty of exercise and interaction to keep his mind sharp and engaged. He has all the makings of that special, unforgettable pet that can start you on the adventure of a lifetime.

Ashton
Ashton’s eyes mesmerize with a luminous green glow while his soft-focus coat melts into muted tones of dove grey. As if he padded right out of an impressionist masterpiece, Ashton is a one of a kind feline with a soul just as beautiful as his outward appearance. He loves seeing new faces and has lavished love on even the youngest of volunteers who have visited him. He is medium-sized with silky fur that whorls in waves. Ashton is 3 years old and aged to perfection, with excellent litter box habits and indoor manners. Although quite content to perch on a chair with you all day, he does look longingly out windows and would live happily in a home with access to explore an outdoor space like a breezy balcony or garden. This kind and cuddly cat is in need of a family with whom he can share his love. Ashton is a work of art and he is ready to become a priceless member of his forever home. Come meet Ashton today and fall in love with this stunning feline.

Pets of the Week March 2, 2015

Heidi
Heidi is a pretty little pup with a great big heart. Her striking pattern may be what catches your eye, but it’s her sweet-as-pie nature that will make you fall in love. Heidi is a lovely mix of Beagle and American Staffordshire Terrier making her as friendly as can be. She is around 2 years old and weighing less than 30 pounds, her size makes her well-suited for many types of homes. Heidi has spent a good amount of time inside and, and since she kennels and crates so well, is a great option for an indoor companion. She is wonderful with children of all ages and lives happily with cats and well-mannered dogs. This lovely lady is ready for a fresh start with a family that can provide the same unconditional love she is constantly pouring out. Heidi is all set to head home today with a very lucky family, so come see her and don’t miss your chance with this special girl.

Dolly
Quiet as a mouse, Dolly has mastered the art of “house cat.” She may not have the loudest meow or jump and play the day away, but Dolly loves to snuggle and cuddle. Who could ask for more love than that? She is 7 years old and has plenty of practice with keeping the litter box tidy. Dolly is hoping for a calm home that matches her kind and quiet spirit. She does very well with other cats but is afraid of dogs so she would be best suited in a doggy-free home. Dolly has a short, thick, brown tabby coat with deep gold highlights that give her a very regal look. She is waiting for the right person to welcome her into her forever home, and is ready to start her new life today. For now, Dolly is curled up in her favorite cat bed, dreaming of a warm happy home to fill with love. Visit her to see if your family could make her dreams come true.
