Pets of the Week February 29, 2016

Jojo
Jojo is a 4-year-old, Beagle and Lab blend, commonly known as a Labbe. This high energy, designer dog is fiercely loyal and protective, intelligent, and easily trained. and she’s playfull, too, perfect for older children and adults, as long as they are gentle and sweet. This four-year-old furry friend has an outgoing personality and likes positive, loving attention. Jojo thrives in a lot of activity and is suitable for adopters who like the outdoors and have the time to include her in the family fun.

Roscoe
One-year-old Roscoe, with his raven-colored pelt, has already earned the distinction of being the sweetest black of all time. His eyes, like citrus orbs, beam out of glossy charcoal fur and hold visitors spellbound. He is suave with a capital “S” and uses his kitty cat charm to attract people into his lair of love. His sable coat works to his advantage because the gene that gives cats black fur is more resistant to disease than others. Choose a black cat and not only will you be sharing your home with a gothic glamourpuss, but also with a friend who can provide you with a long life of adoration and attention.

Pets of the Week February 22, 2016

Mollie
One-year-old Mollie is a dark chocolate-colored Lab and Boxer mix. She’s friendly, flirty, funtastic and loves dogs as much as she loves people. Spontaneity is middle name and her amusing antics are better than watching TV. Everything she does, she does with vim and vigor, and radiant energy beams from her joyful soul. Who wouldn’t want that inspiration in their life? Mollie’s an active gal who would be a great running or walking buddy and, if necessary, would be pleased to be the reason to get you up off the couch and enjoy the outdoors. Visit Mollie and be ready for nothing less than pure, good-natured entertainment.

Coal
Black goes with everything, so Coal is the perfect cat for any home. Place him on your lap and notice the slimming effect. And no matter your décor or color preference, black is the perfect complementary color, much like a black cat’s personality can be the perfect match to yours. A ninja of the domestic cat family, his sleek ebony coat and golden yellow eyes make him practically invisible at night. This mini panther’s black fur won’t show up on black clothes, so whether you’re wearing comfy black sweatpants or a little black dress, you won’t have to worry about those little black hairs giving you away as a cat lover. Visit Coal and see how he looks on you.

Pets of the Week February 15, 2016

Harvey
The American Pit Bull Terrier’s ancestry originated in England and Ireland. However, it’s probably more accurate that one-year-old Harvey’s family came from Barnum and Bailey’s Circus. He is a clown extraordinaire, loving to perform his comic antics for others and receiving accolades and attention for his theatrics. A fun friend for other dogs, Harvey is always a crowd pleaser. He plays most of the time and has a boundless, youthful energy. He enjoys indoor living, when it’s time to nap and relax, and outdoor living for running and romping. He has already mastered kennel training, so it’s a sure bet that Harvey is at the beginning of learning many tricks that will keep you and your family forever entertained.

Elijan
Six-month-old Elijah does not quite have the dramatic personality and story as his Biblical namesake, but this handsome, long-haired, gray beauty did experience his own version of chariot riding. On a cold day he was found literally dropping from underneath a car that was in a store parking lot. It appeared as though Li’l Elijah may have taken an unexpected ride in the car’s engine where he had climbed to get warm. He has clearly forgotten about that traumatic experience because he’s only concerned now about cuddling, canoodling, and being curious. His number one pasttime is being held in someone’s loving arms. Elijah is grateful that he was rescued from the parking lot and now he’s just one step away from finding his final forever home.

Pets of the Week February 8, 2016

Wimbley
Wiggly Wimbley is an athletic, medium-sized Terrier mix. This ready-to-please pooch is part Casanova and part cartoon. He loves to give kisses to all visitors and romp around showing off his most amusing comedic antics. His short caramel brown coat, dappled with white on the chest, shimmers in the sunlight. This six-month-old puppy is already a social butterfly enjoying people of all ages and other pets. Wimbley is at the perfect age to learn how to live in your house with your family. Visit this bright-eyed boy soon and see if he’s the one for you.

Charlie
Charlie is a cookie batter beige and it appears as though he may have enjoyed a bowl or two of the fattening food. But it could be that his fluffiness gives the illusion of being over sized. You can spend all the time you like trying to figure it out because he likes to stay curled up in his comfy cat bed for hours. He doesn’t move. Charlie the bachelor cat enjoys his single life, but is open to sharing his space with other cats, but not so much with dogs. This mellow yellow gentle giant is the perfect fit for a low to medium-activity home. Meet Charlie and you’ll find yourself wanting to curl up beside him and nap.

Pets of the Week February 1, 2016

Michael
Little 8-month-old Michael is a certified lap dog through and through. This Terrier and Chihuahua mix is a tad shy at first, but offer him a lap to sit in and he’s your instant best friend. Toys and comfy blankets are two of his favorite things and if he has both, he is one happy guy. He is alert and curious and, at the slightest sound, will go to check it out. He is both loyal and protective and will easily become attached to one family member of the house, but still be a socialable family member. Visit with Michael and you’ll find yourself quickly falling in love.

Murray
Rough and tumble, but very sweet and cuddly, Murray is an original. Very comfortable in his own skin, and able to relax anywhere, he doesn’t need much to be content. Lying in your lap, lounging on your couch, or lingering late in the morning on your bed, Murray can always find a place to rest and be happy. This five-year-old teddy bear of a cat could be an in-home remedy for insomnia. If you’re around him for too long your eyelids will seem heavier and a desire to nap undeniable. If you visit Murray, be sure to bring a pillow and blanket because you’ll soon be … zzzzzzzzzz.
