Pets of the Week February 15, 2016

Harvey
The American Pit Bull Terrier’s ancestry originated in England and Ireland. However, it’s probably more accurate that one-year-old Harvey’s family came from Barnum and Bailey’s Circus. He is a clown extraordinaire, loving to perform his comic antics for others and receiving accolades and attention for his theatrics. A fun friend for other dogs, Harvey is always a crowd pleaser. He plays most of the time and has a boundless, youthful energy. He enjoys indoor living, when it’s time to nap and relax, and outdoor living for running and romping. He has already mastered kennel training, so it’s a sure bet that Harvey is at the beginning of learning many tricks that will keep you and your family forever entertained.

Elijan
Six-month-old Elijah does not quite have the dramatic personality and story as his Biblical namesake, but this handsome, long-haired, gray beauty did experience his own version of chariot riding. On a cold day he was found literally dropping from underneath a car that was in a store parking lot. It appeared as though Li’l Elijah may have taken an unexpected ride in the car’s engine where he had climbed to get warm. He has clearly forgotten about that traumatic experience because he’s only concerned now about cuddling, canoodling, and being curious. His number one pasttime is being held in someone’s loving arms. Elijah is grateful that he was rescued from the parking lot and now he’s just one step away from finding his final forever home.
