However, when her best K9 pal wants to romp in the yard, it will often turn into a friendly wrestling match. At eight-years-old, this fun-loving pooch knows what she wants and can be choosy about her doggie friends. Mercedes is a two-year-old, Tortoiseshell cat as classy, sleek and stylish as her automobile namesake, yet this girl’s motor purrs louder than any car engine. Delicate, yet strong enough to hold her own, she’s kind, gentle and dignified. Her unique velvet coat is an inky black and golden orange blend that spills beautifully across her whole body from nose to tail. Mercedes will happily share all of life’s luxuries with you.

The Greenwood Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to the compassionate care and protection of animals.
Their purpose is to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, provide education to the public on responsible and humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets by providing low cost surgery, and encourage adoptions of those animals placed in their care.
Their adoption center is open Monday through Saturday 11:00am to 4:30pm est.
