Pets of the Week October 28, 2019

PennyWe could all use a few more pennies, right? How about just ONE Penny? This wonderful dog is still waiting for her forever home, and no one can figure out why, because she is AMAZING. She’s sweet, affectionate and, well behaved. Penny loves belly rubs, treats, long walks, and toys. Oh, and she gets on well with other dogs and kids. Basically, she’s just the best. Plus, she’s cute as a button. She’s a two-year-old mixed breed that looks a lot like a Rottweiler, although she weighs less than 40 lbs. So who wants to add one more Penny to their household?

CarolYou’d be hard pressed to find a Tabby prettier than Carol. This one-year-old kitty has some of the nicest coloring you’re likely to come across – a lovely mixture of grey and rust. It’s truly striking. But pictures don’t do her justice, so you really need to meet her. That’s when you’ll truly fall head over heels, because Carol is a love bug. She likes her toys, but she LOVES her cuddles. And don’t even think about walking past her without saying hello. Sweet, carefree Carol is waiting just for you.

Pets of the Week October 21, 2019

NoxNox is one of those dogs who’s always smiling. Perhaps because that’s just who he is. But it might also be because he knows he’s one lucky boy. He was a Hurricane Dorian evacuee, and he’s looking for a new forever home right here. Nox is a medium-size, 2-year-old, mixed breed with a sleek black coat highlighted with white on his chest and down his nose. But he’s more than just a pretty face. He’s also sweet and loving, happily accepting the company of both people and dogs. Oh, and he LOVES toys, and would be delighted to have his very own yard in which to run.

YangEveryone who meets Yang has the same initial reaction: she’s simply irresistible. Not only is she a truly beautiful tabby, but she’s so playful and affectionate, you can’t help but smile. The moment she sees you, she starts purring in an effort to grab your attention. Then she swoops in for a snuggle, gazing up at you with her huge golden-yellow eyes. Yang is just 5 months old, so she has plenty of energy and will happily play with any toy around.

Pets of the Week October 14, 2019

FudgeFudge is a treat not to be missed. He’s a 2 1/2-year-old terrier mix with a white and brindle coat, light brown eyes, and enough personality for 10 dogs. Fudge is one of those dogs with a wiggle in his walk and a giggle in his talk. He loves everyone he meets, and he’s looking for someone who will let him run off his considerable amount of energy, then crash on the couch. Nothing would make this playful pooch happier than finding a forever home before Halloween, so he can go trick-or-treating with his new family.

HeatherIf you’re looking for a feline friend who LOVES to play, look no further than Heather. This 9-month-old beauty has two interests: toys and exploration. If you want to make her happy, give her plenty of things to chase, and make sure you have a laser pointer, which will entertain you at least as much as it does her. Heather likes attention and is quite affectionate, but she has a lot of energy, so she’d rather be exploring her world than simply lying around looking pretty. And she is pretty as well, with her soft gray coat and huge yellow-green eyes. Swing by today to meet the new love of your life.

Pets of the Week October 7, 2019

DudleyIt is quite literally impossible not to smile back at Dudley when he gives you one of his familiar comical grins. This dog is simply happy. Happy to play with a ball, happy to have his belly rubbed, happy to meet new people and other dogs. He’s just happy. Dudley is a 6-year-old brown and white mixed breed with a gentle, fun-loving personality and a smile that will light up the room. He’s smart, too, having already learned sit, down, and shake. He’s a staff favorite, and it’s not difficult to see why. Come meet sweet Dudley today. Your life with be better for it.

SashaSasha is firm in her belief that she should be in charge. When she wants attention, she’ll ask. Otherwise, she wants to spend her time playing with her toys and resting in a favorite spot, being beautiful. Because she is indeed a beautiful cat. She’s a 5-month-old mostly white Calico with lovely splashes of orange and black down her back and tail. Her huge golden-yellow eyes are the perfect finishing touch to her overall gorgeous appearance. Perhaps Sasha is who you’ve been waiting for.
