Pets of the Week January 27, 2020

DaltonAre you a sucker for a hound? Do you love that boundless energy, sweet but goofy disposition, and tendency to find joy in every situation? If so, you need to meet Dalton. This dashing fellow is right around a year old, so he’s basically a big puppy – about 50 pounds of silly, playful canine. Dalton has a gorgeous deep red coat, big brown eyes, and a heart of gold. He LOVES other dogs, thinks Kongs and tennis balls are the best thing since sliced bread, and believes that every human he meets deserves his affection. This handsome hound truly is irresistible. Come meet him today.

PennyYou’d be hard pressed to find a sweeter, prettier kitty than Penny. Her brown tabby pattern is accented with big splashes of white and orange, creating a uniquely beautiful effect. But aside from her good looks, she’s loving and mild mannered, happily accepting attention and responding with a loud purr. Penny is about 5 years old, and she has a mild weakness in her back legs, so she needs to be an indoor-only cat. But once you meet this gorgeous girl, you won’t want her out of your sight anyway. Pretty Penny is waiting just for you.

AuroraShe might not be as colorful as the Northern Lights, but Aurora is still quite the beauty. And those who love the sharp contrast of black and white will surely be attracted to this fabulous Border Collie-Labrador mix, as her markings are very eye-catching. But it’s her personality that will win you over in the end. Aurora is just a little over a year old, so she’s full of delightful energy, which she is more than willing to wear off during long walks or play sessions in the backyard. She’s sweet and loving, enjoying the company of people and dogs alike. You really should meet Aurora today.

ChloeIf your idea of the perfect cat is a big, fluffy black-and-butterscotch calico, Chloe is your girl. This six-year-old darling is a little bashful at first, but give her a few minutes of attention, and she opens up, asking for more scratches and cuddles. She’s used to being around other cats, so furry roommates shouldn’t be a problem. Chloe has also been an indoor-outdoor kitty, so she doesn’t mind getting a bit of fresh air, but she seems to like her creature comforts as well. Come fall in love with Chloe. It won’t take long.

SamsonSamson is one of those dogs that you simply must meet to fully appreciate. He’s a big, strong boy with an irresistibly affectionate personality. Being a Border Collie/Retriever mix, he’s not short on energy or intelligence, meaning he needs room to run and plenty of toys to occupy him. He is truly an all-around wonderful dog, being delighted to hang out with other dogs and every human who crosses his path. In fact, he loves attention so much, he will immediately roll onto his back, so he can get his favorite of all things – a belly rub. Samson is a handsome 4-year-old black-and-white pooch with a huge smile and even bigger heart.

TonyCalling all cat lovers – Tony is still looking for his forever home. If you’re seeking a feline companion who is sweet, well-behaved, and past that highly energetic kitten stage, this is your boy. Tony is 7 years old, so he’s settled into a gentle maturity that is sure to appeal to anyone. He’s very loving, greeting everyone he meets with a loud purr and a head butt. Plus, he’s quite the looker – a dashing black and white tuxedo, with 4 white paws and a splash of white between his eyes that looks like the stroke of a paint brush. Come fall in love before someone else does.

He’s a truly happy fellow, always delighted to meet new people as well as other dogs. And he’s the perfect size, too – only 30 pounds, so not too big and not too small. Come meet this lovable goofball today.
