Pets of the Week September 10, 2018

If you’re hoping to find an extremely intelligent and very active dog, look no further than Abigail. This 2-year-old cattle dog mix is a perfect example of these quirky and distinctive canines. Upon meeting her, it’s immediately clear that she is one smart cookie. Like all cattle dogs, she thrives on having something to do and being a part of the family’s day-to-day activities. Abigail is just as pretty as her name, with a unique blue-brindle coat, and she’s as sweet a pup as you could hope to find, greeting everyone with tons of kisses and a big, irresistible smile.

This gorgeous feline is sure to cast you under her spell from the moment you meet her. Mystique is an elegant, ladylike kitty who prides herself on always looking her best, and with her solid white coat and big, intelligent, golden-yellow eyes, you can be sure she always will. She is very sweet and affectionate, offering head butts and snuggles as a way to express her feelings, but as is typical of many cats, she likes everything in her own time. She’s also a little bit of a diva, preferring not to share her humans with other animals. Mystique is just over a year old, so she has many years of joy to offer.

Pets of the Week September 3, 2018

Kelby is an 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a boatload of energy and an independent air. He enjoys the company of his humans, but he also likes his own space and wants to come to you when he’s ready for loves. He prefers to run around enjoying the wonders of nature, barking happily at birds, and sniffing the air for interesting scents rather than cuddling on laps. So if you’re looking for a companion who will be delighted to take long walks but doesn’t demand lots of snuggles, Kelby is your man. Visit the new Adoption Center to meet this handsome fellow.

Mohammed is one of the most loving, kindhearted kitties you’ll ever meet. Plus, he’s a truly dapper young man, a lovely grey Tabby with gorgeous green eyes rimmed with yellow-gold. But it’s his personality that draws everyone in. He’s only 5 months old, so he is energetic, but he seems to like spending his time snuggling, giving head butts, and begging for belly rubs much more than chasing around toys. Mohammed has grown up with a number of siblings, all of whom have found forever homes, so he is quite used to sharing his space with other cats. This gentle feline is simply looking for someone to return the love he so readily gives.

Pets of the Week August 13, 2018

This little Hound mix could easily be a model in the doggie world with her long stylish legs, slim beautiful face, and sleek coppery-brown coat. Wren is just over a year old, so she hasn’t completely given up her puppyish ways. In fact, one of her favorite things to do is run around the yard with a canine companion, playing with toys for a little while, then abandoning them to simply enjoy the chase, or better yet to cool off in any available water. She’s very energetic, and because she loves to stretch those long legs, she’s hoping for a home with a fenced-in yard and preferably a furry sibling and maybe a kid or two to join in the fun. Swing by the Adoption Center today and ask about sweet Wren.

Patty is a pretty girl, and honestly, a pretty BIG girl. She’s a 3-year-old kitty whose love of food is obvious, but she’s doing her best to slim down so she can be a more active member of the family she’s hoping to find. She’s very friendly and affectionate, delighting in any attention her humans offer. And she’d much prefer to keep all snuggles and scratches for herself, rather than having to share them with another cat. Patty seems to realize she’s attractive, as she loves to lounge in her favorite spots, showing off her stylish coat, which consists mostly of grey with Tabby undertones, accented with white on her face, chest, and feet. Come meet pretty Patty today.

Pets of the Week August 6, 2018

Hallie will light up any room with her irresistible smile. She’s one of the happiest pups you’ll ever meet, and she’s just as pretty as she is charming. This 3-year-old Labrador mix has rather unique coloring, tan with white on her face and chest, accented with brown on her neck and muzzle. Hallie loves receiving attention from anyone willing to spend time with her, and she seems very eager to make friends with other dogs. She’s quite active, delighting in any opportunity to stretch her long legs in the play yard or chase after toys. Swing by the Adoption Center and meet this sweet, silly, playful girl today.

John may sound like a grownup name for a cat, but don’t let it deceive you. This John is all kitten. At just 4 months old, he is a whirlwind of mischievous energy that will leave you laughing at his hilarious antics. He’s perfectly capable of entertaining himself, whether with actual cat toys or anything he finds and turns into a toy. However, that doesn’t mean he’d say no to a playmate, because he certainly wouldn’t – human or feline. Plus, he’s as handsome as he is funny and frisky, black with faint tiger stripes and big green eyes. If you’re looking for someone to brighten your days for years to come, John is your guy.
