Pets of the Week August 14, 2017

Frolicking, playing and having a ball, Daisy Jane is the sweetest girl of all. She runs through the yard as happy as a clam, spreading her love all over the land. A friend of many and a foe of none, this tri-colored lady is exploding with fun. With ruddy brown cheeks and a white stripe down her nose, she even has white from her knees to her toes. A social butterfly who loves a warm lap, she’ll curl up and kiss and cuddle and nap. She’s not really keen to share tasty treats, so leave her alone while she gets on her eats.

If you enjoy chatting the day away with close friends, then Gillie is the perfect companion for you. Much the same herself, she thrives on sitting with her pals and talking about the latest episode of NCIS, what she witnessed when she peeked through the window blinds, or why she prefers one litter over the next. Gray and white like the perfect cloud combination, this 2-year-old conversationalist never meets a stranger. Visit Gillie at her vacation rental at Petsmart and talk the day away!

Pets of the Week August 7, 2017

If it wasn’t for Cooper’s size, he would be the epitome of the 1940s cartoon dog, Droopy. This 8-month-old, slow-moving, never-in-a-rush Coonhound mix is as laid back as they come. Despite his enormous feet, he is quite graceful managing a gallop or two when a super surge of energy overtakes him. As is the norm, other dogs at the shelter bark at him while he’s in the yard. However, he is completely unfazed and responds by leisurely approaching each, tilting his head as if saying, “Hello, how are you?” This derpy dog is just the sweetest and he will be the best family friend.

Shimmer is simply stunning. From her orangy-orange and black Torti coat to her oh-so-green eyes, this perfect feline is quite the looker. Not only is she pretty, she has personality, too! She gets her purr motor running as soon as someone stops to admire her and really gets happy when she receives affection. She will always reward you with more love than you give by giving a gentle head butt or rubbing around your legs. Her favorite pastimes are napping, staring, and Scrabble. Increase the value of your home and life by adopting Shimmer.

Posed so eloquently with her head held high, Liberty stands tall and proud like the American statue itself. Then, in an instant, she hippity-hops to and fro with a burst of inexplicable enthusiasm. This vivacious light brown Tabby has both the looks and charm to create a captive audience wherever she is. Pets of the Week July 17, 2017

As a graduate of the Pawsitive Prison Program at Leath Correctional Institute, one-year-old Buddha is oh-so-ready to go to his forever home. This Black Lab mix enjoys running and playing and stopping to sniff out anything of interest, like a rock, a leaf, or a piece of paper. To show he’s a stellar student, he has learned twenty skills and verbal commands while in the program, along with being potty and leash trained. Buddha is a rare gem and his adopter will feel like they have found the motherlode of dogs.

Pretty, playful Piper purrs persistently. She purrs because she’s always happy. She’s happy because she’s always playing. A perfect specimen of a glamorous Tortoiseshell cat, this one-year-old youngster is as visually captivating as she is entertaining. Piper Fun Fact: When she sleeps, her front paws curl together like she’s praying. She’s probably asking for more toys to enjoy and more hours to play.
