shadowWith a coat as black as coal and eyes of a “soul-reaching” green, 3 year old Shadow is an impressive noble aristocat. He appreciates fine food, a cushiony bed, lying in laps, and being adored. His calming purr and royal charm are hypnotic and will make you smitten with this big boy kitten. Shadow wants to be king of your home and will reward you with being a loyal friend until the very end.

tillyTilly’s mile-wide smile is obvious evidence that she’s the happiest dog of all time. Every day is a good day in Tilly’s world. This energetic pooch is all super model with her slate gray coat and long, slender legs. She prances through the yard showing herself off, then instantly switches to tomboy mode running around the yard after her favorite ball or squeak toy. Tilly is a young dog who has a lifetime of love to give and fun to live.

Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange does an excellent job of introducing magic into the Marvel movie universe. Since they treated Asgardians as aliens with technology, I was not sure they were going to get mystical.

Doctor Strange is the story of a highly-skilled, arrogant surgeon who has a terrible injury to his hands. He goes through every conceivable medical treatment possible before turning to … other options. During the course of his training, he has to face off with a sorcerer who has turned his back on the Earth and is welcoming Dormammu – think mystic Galactus.

The special effects are everything you would expect from a Marvel Studios production now. The reality bending effects did make me a tad dizzy at points, but they did their job at disorienting people.

There is a mid-credits scene and an after credits scene you will want to stay for.

Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton, Benjamin Bratt

domino

With his eyes and ears encircled in black, and back-dropped by his brilliant and bright white coat, one-year-old Domino could not be more aptly named. His resting face is a permanent grin, which is a perfect reflection of his kind heart and a gentle demeanor. Domino is wonderful with everyone, from children to mature adults, as well as other dogs. There’s no question that when you meet him, you’ll find Domino to be the perfect companion for outings, play time, or a simple night at home with a best friend.

ulrich

“Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay. My, oh my, what a wonderful day!” is Ulrich’s motto in every way. He’s energetic and full of fun; a silly little boy who will steal your heart and fill it with love to spare. His shiny, soot black coat and honeydew melon colored eyes make him extraordinarily handsome. Add his prankster personality and motor boat purr and you have Mr. Irresistible at your service. Make sure to swing by Petsmart and let this comical little guy make your day!

Scherzo Diabolico

Scherzo Diabolico is a slow-burn tale on a person’s decision to take his life into his own hands in the worst possible way.

Directed by Adrián García Bogliano (Late Phases, Here Comes the Devil), Scherzo Diabolico tellls the story of a man who gets passed over for a promotion and does not have a good relationship with his wife. We see him spend considerable time stalking a high school student before eventually kidnapping her.

I do not want to go into too much farther into the plot than that. This movie has twists and changes your expectations regularly. The very final scene still sticks with me. Very simple to produce – very heart wrenching.

One caveat, this is a subtitled movie. And it is a slow-burn movie.

Scherzo Diabolico is currently streaming on Netflix.

Starring: Francisco Barreiro, Daniela Soto Vell, Jorge Molina, Milena Pezzi, Vita Vargas
