Pets of the Week August 27, 2012

She loves to lie in our baby pool, but that’s the only place our ladylike 3 ½ year old shepherd mix “Tulsa” ever makes waves. Otherwise she simply shines — from her clean, gleaming coat to her belief in the beauty of getting along; she’s a gentle canine joy, with a pure capacity for play and a social side that never stops. Tulsa was found stray in Greenwood, her sweet, quiet manners are her very own; she adores her playgroup but loves you even more, and she’d a make trustworthy, patient companion for kids big or small. Tulsa’s stature isn’t as big as her kisses, she’s a perfect size for a family dog; she’s intelligent, eager to learn, and imminently trainable, only her kind heart is set in its ways. Come find a sparkling gem of a friend with just a little left to polish; your grand family asset here, and her name is “Tulsa.”

Her eyeliner’s as dramatic as a prima ballerina’s, and her velvety purr makes the perfect musical score — but this radiant 5-month old calico girl’s more nimble clown than graceful dancer; she’ll delight you with her antics, then rub her ultra-plush fur all over you just to heap pleasure on pleasure. “Neat” was found stray in Ware Shoals; she’s an immaculate calico phenom who loves others cats, is fine with dogs, and thinks everyone else is her special playmate. Her gentle humor and non-stop interest in you make her an exquisite companion — and a lovely choice for your kids, who know a snuggle-star when they meet one. Neat’s as tidy as her name but she’ll definitely make a mess of your heart — come see how quickly she’ll take center stage in your happy home.
