Pets of the Week December 31, 2012

Sadie
You’ll think her kennel’s a kissing booth, but her constant affection isn’t for sale; it’s a gift from the 100% tender heart of this demure less-than-two year old American Pit Bull mix “Sadie,” a tan and white beauty so sociable she’s yet to meet anyone — dog or human, young or old — she doesn’t instantly enjoy. Playful Sadie was found stray in Ninety Six; at 52 lbs. she’s full grown and destined to be an imminently stylish family dog. Sadie knows that pretty is as pretty does; she loves to learn, and your praise plus a treat are all it takes to train her, her quick mind and listening heart will revel in your attention — she already walks proudly on a leash and she’s working on her house-training. Feel Sadie rub her velvety muzzle in your hand, her lifetime of devotion is yours to have and to hold; make her your joy today.

Felix
He’s a mythic cat-creature of epic proportions, a cross between a panda and a fullback — 19 lbs. of strong, warm and handsome, with an exquisite face, an 8 cylinder-purr and umpteen good-natured head butts — all for you. Felix is a friendship phenom, orphaned by death and illness; he’s here sporting a dapper new lion-cut, and his own outgoing nature, as amiably expansive as his ever-impressive build. Felix will come when you all him, kitten-cozy for all his weighty company; he gets along fine with other cats and dogs, is immaculate in his person and box-keeping, and he enjoys talking, too. Come watch Felix make big imaginary biscuits with his immense, gentle paws; then take this delightfully distinguished companion home forever, to share a giant happiness.
