Levi’s full grown and no bigger than medium-sized, an innocent young boy and natural ambassador whose kisses are eager and gentle at once; he’s smart, cooperative and attentive, an inside dog with outside privileges who’ll play for hours and proudly show you off on a leash. If lavish affection’s the kind you want Levi’s the fit for you; meet him and marvel at just how good friendship can feel.
Lift him and you’ll see the word “pint” doesn’t apply; our “Guinness” is a magnificent Maine Coon/mix, one of the most popular breeds in the world, prized as “gentle giants” for their impressive size, keen intelligence, loving ways and enduring loyalty. Three-year-old Guinness is a stout companion with a frothy purr, a gloriously thick ruff, and an extensive vocabulary of chattering, chirping and fascinating meow-words, (another Maine Coon trait); he’s convivial as heck with humans young and old, leaning into you to offer a tender head butt and a poignant face rub, and he’s relaxed around other pets too. “Stray” seems an impossible descriptor for Guinness but there it is; in truth he’s the housecat of the century, a companion brimming with personality who you’ll be proud to call your own. The Greenwood Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to the compassionate care and protection of animals.
Their purpose is to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, provide education to the public on responsible and humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets by providing low cost surgery, and encourage adoptions of those animals placed in their care.
