Pets of the Week June 3, 2013

Joker
Joker was named after the famed comic book character not because he possesses villainous powers, but because he has one crazy wide grin. This one-year-old, medium-sized Boxer and Shepherd mix is game for play … any and all the time. A high activity home and lifestyle is exactly what this boy needs to be happy and content. Joker will be at his best with a family or person who keeps him engaged, is very interactive, and includes him in their life’s activities.

Janis
Janis’ piercing yellow eyes aren’t the only distinctive trait that will catch your attention. Her personality is one that is both intriguing and perplexing. She is mysterious and will offer just enough affection — the occasional leg rub or head butt — to keep you wanting more. However, her weakness, and the way to her heart, is food. She will interact with people, and other cats, on her terms and would be a wonderful house companion — and a clean one at that.

Their purpose is to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, provide education to the public on responsible and humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets by providing low cost surgery, and encourage adoptions of those animals placed in their care.

Their adoption center is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm est.
