Pets of the Week July 29, 2013

Reuben
A social butterfly, diplomat, or life of the party — all those descriptions fit Reuben to a “T.” He’s a Plott Hound/Terrier mix whose amber-flecked brindle coat literally glows in the sunlight. He enjoys the company of other dogs and people of all ages, shapes and sizes, for his love does not discriminate. Reuben is around two to three-years-old, but since he was a lost dog brought to the Animal Shelter, there’s no known history on this sweet guy. He is ready to start a new life and wants to share it with a loving family or individual who will

Rosalie
The name “Rosalie” originates from the French for “rose garden” and this precious feline could not be more perfectly named. She evidently wandered from her home, was eventually found by a citizen, and brought to the Animal Shelter where just two days later she gave birth to two kittens. Each of them has been adopted and now Rosalie is hoping for the same good fortune her babies had. Her quiet coloring — diluted Calico markings blended with Tabby stripes — matches her calm personality. And just like a rose garden she offers you beauty, tranquility, and joy, but most importantly, an unconditional love that only she can give. Rosalie can be visited at Petsmart in Greenwood.

The Greenwood Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to the compassionate care and protection of animals.

Their purpose is to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, provide education to the public on responsible and humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets by providing low cost surgery, and encourage adoptions of those animals placed in their care.

Their adoption center is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm est.
