Pets of the Week November 18, 2013

Bo
He’s a strapping young well-bred Boxer mix Southern boy, born with a best-friend temperament, natural manners that tell him not to potty in his pen, and a beaming smile as handsome as his sleek brindle-and-white coat. Two-year-old “Bo” was found stray and he hasn’t stopped wagging since, make him your own with a little training (he can already “sit” for a treat) and he’ll polish up perfectly as your treasured indoor/outdoor family member. See how well Bo’s proud heart matches yours, and make him the newest tradition in your home’s happy heritage.

Turtle
Except for coming gently out of her shell, our slightly shy, way-pretty 6-month-old diluted Calico girl doesn’t resemble her name — “Turtle” — one bit. (Who ever heard of a turtle who purred, anyway? Or one who’s ermine-soft, and gives you a kiss by rubbing her face on your hand?) Turtle was born on someone’s property and is still getting used to being held, but a more promising confidante you won’t find, especially one with such exquisite pastel coloring. Turtle’s easy to please and keeps a tidy box; she enjoys being indoors or out, gets along fine with other cats, and thinks people of all sizes are wonderful (she might run from loud little ones at first). She’s waiting to greet you with a slow, silky head-butt; see how quickly you’ll fall for a little girl named Turtle.
