14 lb. Freddie is a 1-yr-old Beagle and Dachshund mix, also known as a Doxle. He is a package of affection, good behavior and friendliness. Being extremely patient and polite, he would make a good pet who would play with all patience and interest with children, and cooperate with your other pets, including dogs. His loyalty, alertness and curiosity all sum up as a good guard of your household. Freddie is social, and loves to see himself surrounded by human friends and being an integral part of your family.
Lucy is 13-years-old, very calm and quiet, and a bit bashful. It’s understandable that at her age and stage in life, to find herself in an animal shelter is unsettling. But she is learning to adapt to change and showing a bit more of her sweet personality each day. She likes to snuggle in blankets and curl in a lap because that feels safe to her. The Greenwood Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to the compassionate care and protection of animals.
Their purpose is to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, provide education to the public on responsible and humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets by providing low cost surgery, and encourage adoptions of those animals placed in their care.
Their adoption center is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm est.
