This dapper fellow is seeking a loving family who will adore him for exactly what he is: a goofy pup with a ton of energy and a heart of gold. Mikey is a black and white Hound mix with big, expressive brown eyes and a silly grin that’s sure to warm your heart. He’s not quite two years old yet, so he’s still bubbling over with puppyish enthusiasm. He loves meeting new people and would be delighted to have doggie siblings, as long as they could handle his highly spirited play. Mikey is a medium-sized dog with a big personality, and he really needs to have a fenced-in yard so he can get plenty of exercise.

Her ethereal beauty makes her look like she belongs on the cover of a feline magazine, and her personality fits perfectly with that image. Purrsia is a true diva among cats. She’s absolutely gorgeous with her long, silky soft coat of gray and white fur and large green-yellow eyes. She is 6 years old, and as far as she’s concerned, she’s old enough now to know exactly what she wants, and she isn’t afraid to say it. Purrsia likes attention, but like many of her feline cousins, she insists upon being the one who decides when and how much. She has no desire to share her home with other animals, wanting nothing more than being the center of attention. Come visit Purrsia, the pristine prima donna, today.

Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 opens funnily enough. Until the fridging of a character from the first movie. There were jokes throughout the movie of hack or lazy writers, but using this trope as a character motivation is the laziest low hanging fruit.

Thankfully the rest of the movie made up for this. I was worried that all the trailers held all the comedy, but there was plenty to go around.

The introduction of Cable, Domino, and Shatterstar really bring into focus the possibilities of an X-Force movie.

But the real star of the movie was Peter. Not Colossus. Peter with the mustache. The level of heroics he showed while having no powers were inspiring.

Starring: Josh Brolin, Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Zazie Beetz, Brianna Hildebrand, Bill Skarsgård, T.J. Miller, Terry Crews, Rob Delaney, Julian Dennison, Lewis Tan, Jack Kesy, Eddie Marsan, Shioli Kutsuna, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Brad Pitt

Anastasia is just as beautiful and regal as her name suggests. Very gentle and well-mannered, she greets everyone with a friendly smile and a wag of the tail. She’s proven herself to be quite the lady around children and adults alike, although she’d prefer not to share her humans with other animals. If she were to accept another dog into her life, it would need to be a larger, very calm male who would allow her to occupy the throne. Anastasia is a 3-year-old Pit mix with a white coat accented with large patches of brown, including over her right eye and a quarter-sized spot on her left cheek, reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s famous beauty mark. She loves toys and is hoping for a home with a large yard where she can race around like a graceful greyhound.

Are you seeking a feline companion with whom you can discuss your day and express your thoughts without distracting interruptions and questions? If so, Watson is your man. This handsome 8-month-old orange and white cat is sweet, affectionate, and extremely friendly without being intrusive. He will happily climb into your lap and lean into your chest for comfort and contact, then wander off for a bit before coming back to rub his head on your hand or chin. All the while he will continue to listen quietly to all you have to say, responding with a gentle purr and deep gaze. He has a very mellow and kind nature, and given the opportunity, he will be more than content to be the Watson to your Sherlock.

Pets of the Week May 14, 2018

This little Hound mix has a super-duper sweet smile, long stylish legs, a sleek coppery-brown coat, and a wonderfully loving personality, basically making her one of the most adorably adoptable dogs around. Wren is just over a year old, so she hasn’t completely given up her puppy status. In fact, one of her favorite things to do is run around the yard with her best canine pal, playing with toys for a little while, then abandoning them to simply enjoy the chase. She’s great with kids as well and always seems delighted to meet new people and animals. So if you have the time and space to give this energetic pup a loving family, swing by the Adoption Center and ask about the delightful Wren.

Jenny is a petite princess with big green eyes and a lovely coat accented with gorgeous dark brown markings on her face. This 6-month-old Tabby is quite calm for such a young cat. She likes attention and will charm you with a gentle purr, as long as you give her time to settle in slowly. And once she finds her forever home, she’s hoping her new family will provide her with a little hideaway bed that will allow her to snuggle in her own private space. Jenny gets along with other kitties, but because she’s more of a follower than a leader, she will do best with furry siblings that aren’t too bossy. Come by the Adoption Center today to meet this little angel.

Pets of the Week May 7, 2018

Reese is just as sweet as the candy after which he’s named. His handsome brown coat is accented with touches of tan on his muzzle, eyebrows, and feet, like little dollops of peanut butter on a chocolatey treat. Reese is about 9 months old, so he’s still full of puppy energy, which he loves to use up playing with other dogs, tossing around his favorite toys, and if he has access to some water, splashing around with a big grin on his face. This lovable Retriever mix is sure to melt your heart, especially when he smooths in for a quick snuggle and a few kisses. Drop by the Adoption Center today to meet this irresistible pup.

This kitty has an exotic-sounding name and an alluring personality that is sure to captivate all who meet her. Elektra is a slim beauty, a brown and white Tabby with huge yellow-green eyes, a pretty, slender face, and large, perfectly formed ears with tiny tufts at the very tips. She’s only seven months old, so she enjoys playing with her toys, and she rarely says no to a tasty treat. But the best thing about lady Elektra is her sweet, affectionate disposition. She loves to be petted and scratched and allowed to rub her head under your chin. Other cats are welcome to join her social group but she seems especially fond of her humans. Swing by PetSmart today to meet this fabulous feline.
