Aquaman

Had some misses in the middle. But a good Hero’s Journey. Very King Arthur.

Of the recent batch of Warner Brothers DC movies, it is second only to Wonder Woman. But it does meander some in the middle. I appreciated the way Arthur’s young life is sprinkled throughout the film in small bits.

Aquaman is set after the events of Justice League. There is a mid-credits scene, but it is not needed. It basically tells you what you expect. Remember, if you do not see the body, they are not dead.

Synopsis from IMDB:
Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world. And prevent war between land and sea.

Starring: Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, Ludi Lin

BravoThis loving boy is so eager to please, you’ll be calling his name, Bravo, simply as praise for his hard work. He’s a two-year-old Chocolate Lab mix with a big heart and even bigger smile. Very intelligent and highly energetic, he’s looking for a home where he’ll be provided with plenty of activities. He’d be thrilled to go hiking or jogging regularly or at least have a furry friend or two who like to play as much as he does. Bravo loves meeting new people, and nothing makes him happier than one-on-one attention from his favorite humans. Come see if Bravo is what your family has been missing.

JasperJasper is one of the most carefree kittens you’ll ever meet, seeming to believe that life is meant for nothing other than good times. He never meets a stranger and is always the first one to greet new kitties when they join him in the playroom. He’s a handsome black and brown tabby whose coat is accented with bright white on the very tip of his tail, as though it’s been dipped in paint. He also has unique eyes, as a brief illness when he was quite young caused some scar tissue, but he certainly doesn’t let it slow him down. Jasper is a one-of-a-kind cat looking for a special forever home.

AmberAmber is the best of both worlds: a little bit of princess and a good bit of tomboy. She loves to play the part, showing just how pretty and proper she can be. But give her the chance, and she’ll shed the dress and prove she can run with the big boys. This 8-month old brown and white terrier mix has a heart of gold, a sweet smile that’s never far away, and enough energy to keep the kids and other dogs happy. Amber loves everyone she meets, young and old, two- or four-legged. As far as this lovely young lady is concerned, if you spend time with her, she’ll go out of her way to make you as happy as she is herself.

SalemIf you’ve never been bewitched by a fabulous feline, now is the time, because Salem is sure to charm his way into your heart, and hopefully, your home. He’s a loving, affectionate guy whose allure isn’t just fur deep. He is indeed quite handsome, with a sleek medium-length coat of jet black and snowy white as well as intelligent golden-yellow eyes, but it’s his temperament that will enchant you. He is only 6 months old, but he seems to much prefer snuggling down in your lap and receiving loads of pets and scratches rather than chasing around toys. Salem likes other cats but he truly loves people.

GritoThis handsome, fun-loving fellow has charmed his way into the hearts of everyone he’s met. Grito’s huge, goofy grin is a perfect example of his sweet, silly, irresistible personality. He desires nothing more than to find a family that will return the affection he so readily gives. Although, it must be admitted that his love for tennis balls comes in a close second to his love for humans. This 2-year-old brown and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix believes doggy toys are the best thing since sliced bread, and nothing makes him happier than a chance to chase them around. Come fall in love with Grito, like everyone else has.

EmmettGood luck finding a cuter cat than Emmett. This 3-month-old brown Tabby is simply adorable, with his big green eyes and beautiful medium-length coat that’s not only silky soft but also offers charming little tufts on his ears. Being such a young guy, Emmett isn’t short on energy, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like his down time as well. When he’s worn himself out wrestling with his feline companions or chasing around his favorite toys, he loves to come to his humans for some cuddles. Swing by today to see Emmett’s antics for yourself.

TootsieIf the thought of those classic chocolate-flavored, taffy-like candies from your childhood brings a smile to your face, just imagine the joy Tootsie, the dog, will provide every time you see her sweet face. This cuddly 5-year-old Chocolate Lab mix is as irresistible as they come, with an ever-present smile and a loving personality to match. She’s a gentle, calm-mannered girl who adores everyone she meets, from dogs to cats to humans, large and small. Tootsie is about as close to perfect as you’re going to get, and she’s hoping you’ll give her a home for the holidays.

ZuriOne word comes to mind when you see Zuri: adorable. This 4-month-old black and orange Tortoiseshell is, without a doubt, one of the cutest kitties you’re likely to meet. Her dark coat is accented with splashes of orange and cream, which is quite attractive, but it’s the strip of cream down her nose and the almost diamond-shaped orange mark on her forehead that give the appearance of an artist’s touch. But Zuri isn’t all about the good looks. She’s also playful and loving, liking nothing better than a chance to wrestle with a feline friend, then settle in for a few snuggles with her human.
