Pets of the Week June 24, 2019

PennyMeet Penny: pretty, petite, playful Penny, a pup with a heart of gold, a desire to please, and a happy-go-lucky personality that’s impossible to resist. This lovely young lady is a one-year-old, light copper-and-white-colored hound mix. She’s spent the last few weeks in a foster home, hanging out with her foster sister, playing tug-of-war and wrestling in the back yard. She always has a smile on her cute face and wiggles with excitement when new people come around. Penny is simply wonderful, and she deserves the forever home she’s been hoping for.

ArtieArtie, Artie, Artie. What can be said about Artie? Well, this big, handsome boy is a true cat lover’s cat. He’s 7 years old with a silky black and white coat that includes a splash of purest white across his chin and nose and up between his gorgeous yellow eyes. He tends to act a bit like a kitten when presented with toys, and he has that perfectly (and uniquely) cat-like ability to be content with just about any situation. Give him some love and scratches? Fine. Go do your own thing? That’s fine, too. Basically, Artie is one cool cat.

LaylaLayla’s smile is as wide as a country mile, and that reflects the size of her personality as well. She is a ball of delightful energy, and she’ll swoop in for all the attention she can get. She’s a two-year-old gray and white terrier mix with a very expressive face and ears that stand tall and proud whenever she’s happy or excited, which is basically ALL the time. Layla likes her two-legged companions better than the four-legged kind, however, as she seems to think she deserves all the loves. She just wants to be queen of the castle. And why shouldn’t she be?

LuluAre you seeking a feline friend who simply wants to be a cat, with no pretenses or airs and graces? Introducing Lulu. This 2-year-old black and butterscotch patched tabby is about as uncomplicated as they come. If you want to pick her up and bestow your love upon her, she accepts it easily and with contentment. But if you’re busy doing your own things, she’s just as happy to curl up in a favorite spot for a long nap or find some quiet way to entertain herself. Lulu is a truly beautiful lady with the most straightforward of needs: feed me, love me, let me be me.

Pets of the Week June 10, 2019

HoraceFrank Sinatra may have been the original Ol’ Blue Eyes, but once you meet Horace, that nickname will bring to mind this handsome canine instead. He’s a 2-year-old Catahoula mix with unique coloring – a light and dark brown merle pattern with big splashes of white, especially on his face. And those eyes. You simply can’t ignore those amazing ice blue eyes. Horace is a young dog, so he isn’t short on energy and would love to be able to take lots of long walks. He especially enjoys the company of people and wants nothing more than to find a new forever home he can call his own.

BusterIf you needed just one phrase to describe Buster, happy-go-lucky would be a good one. He is simply one happy cat. He loves to play and cuddle, and one of his favorite things to do is pretend any human who holds him is his own personal cat tree. He wants to get up as high as he can, so he can look into your eyes and rub against your face. Buster is, without a doubt, one of the most endearing felines you will ever meet. And with his coal black coat and huge golden-yellow eyes, this 8-month-old cat is just has handsome as he is sweet.

Pets of the Week June 3, 2019

CeCeCeCe is one of those dogs with whom it is simply impossible not to fall in love. Her kind eyes express the gentle soul that lies within, and her ever-present smile shows that she is always happy and eager to please. Cece is a 3-year-old Vizsla-Retriever mix with a reddish-brown coat accented with just a touch of white on her chest. She has plenty of energy and loves to run and play, but she isn’t overly exuberant, making her an ideal family dog. Cece wants more than anything to find her forever home with someone who will love her as much as she’ll love them.

CarlIf you’re a sucker for an orange tabby, there’s no way you’ll be able to resist Carl. This big, handsome boy is one seriously good-looking feline. The markings on his face are especially striking, as not only are they perfect, but they draw attention to his gorgeous yellow eyes. Carl is about 3 years old, laid back, and very even tempered. He seems to enjoy spending most of his time just relaxing in a favorite spot, looking splendid, and being adored. This cat has turned tranquility into a fine art. Won’t you come meet him today?

Pets of the Week May 27, 2019

JackJack has one goal and one goal only: to find a family that will give him as much love as he offers to others. And that really shouldn’t be an issue, as he is one lovable pooch. Jack is a 2-year-old Retriever mix with a uniquely colored coat – it’s almost blue – light brown eyes, and a smile that lights up every room he enters. As you’d probably expect, he has plenty of energy, so he’s definitely hoping to become part of an active household. He also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, both big and small, and he is always delighted to meet new people. Jack is waiting to meet YOU.

CaraCara is one of those cats that will win you over, even if you don’t like cats. You simply can’t help but be drawn to her. She wants nothing more than to be held and snuggled, so she can make muffins in your lap and rub her head against your chin. And Cara is just as pretty as she is sweet. She’s a 4-year-old black, white, and butterscotch Calico with huge yellow-green eyes that radiate intelligence and kindness. Won’t you let her win your heart?
