She’s a stray from Saluda but her breed is from the Outback, now one-year-old Sophie’s ready to show you how perfectly an Australian Cattle dog fits in down home instead of down under. Sophie needs her share of attention and will return it a hundred-fold; she’s great with older children, loves to walk on a leash and her housetraining is in progress. Her medium size and “wash and wear” coat make her a snap to groom, even for the show ring her breed is simply wiped down with a damp cloth. If you’re looking for a joyful ally who’ll read your mind and capture your heart, Sophie’s the Aussie-dog for you.

Her eyes include a rare color of the luminous gemstone she’s named for — a distinct blue center oval, with lovely green for the rest. But one-year-old Jade’s determined-to-purr attitude is even more admirable than her blue-orbit eyes — her courage to caress has returned after being left with us by an owner who had to move. Jade’s warm velvet to touch and a perfect small snuggle-size — gentle, affectionate and kind with children and other cats alike. She likes to keep things clean and neat, especially her immaculate white paws and her litter box. Jade is already spayed and ready to go to your secure loving home, where she’ll complete her heart’s bloom.

At just a year and a half Apollo is in Olympic lapdog form, his strong tiny chest holds a big snuggly heart, and his tough-guy persona melts magically away the moment you pick him up. Apollo is a wonderful, gentle playmate for kids. (Cats are fine too; other dogs, not so much.) If you’re looking for a love of god-like proportions in wagging miniature form, come see how divine Apollo really is.

Her favorite move is the Twirly-Purr, when she turns her dark-and-silvery-light-striped head under to show you her tiny chin, all the while vroom-vrooming so hard you think she might bust a gusset. She’s gently exuberant, great with kids, dogs and other cats, and so playful she accidentally tied a toy to her tail and tried to out-run herself. Her box is tidy and she’s too clean-sweet not to touch, come hear her make a loving introduction with her single perfect “mew.”

He’s the noble young son you’ll cherish, a 6-month almost-grown hound/mix puppy, handsome as heck and naturally gifted with quiet manners and a playful eagerness to learn. Duke is a family dog at heart; he’s equally adoring of kids and grownups, happily befriends other dogs and cats, and feels at home inside or out. He’s also a proud leash-walker and is making fine progress with his house-training. When he lies by your side he radiates well-being, enough to keep everyone warm forever.

YES her name is Buffy, and NO she’s not a vampire slayer — all she’ll slay is your heart, but she’ll do it so gently with her own beguiling ways that you’ll happily comply. Buffy’s quirky too, a lovely soft 2-years-young calico girl with one tan and one gray front leg, and pure clean white on her mouth, chin and paws. She has everything to offer the ones she loves — and she doesn’t really slay your heart, she just purrs until your heart melts and becomes bigger than ever.

He’s leaving for Camp Chinquapin a rollicking boy and he’ll come back a polished gem of a young gentleman — with basic obedience training under his belt and his fun-loving spirit well intact! Handsome Connor is a healthy, medium-sized, one-year-young shepherd mix, and he has all the makings of a great student and exceptional family dog.

He’s warm, witty and entertaining, the polar opposite of aloof, and his name “Presto” is fair warning for how quickly you’ll fall for this handsome 2 year old Tiger-Boy’s affections. Presto gets along wonderfully with others cat, likes to be indoors or out, and is tidier than tidy. If you’d like a loyal friend who’s absolutely INTO YOU, complete with a non-stop festive spirit, make Presto your own.
