Pets of the Week December 21, 2015

Diesel
At just under two-years-old and weighing 60 lbs, long-legged Diesel will make the perfect indoor/outdoor big buddy. He’s a Boxer mix born with a playful, frisky nature making him a popular favorite with active adults and older children. Running along your side, chasing the ball, and taking regular walks are totally in his wheelhouse adding enjoyable activities to your daily life, too. A tall fence will help keep Diesel and his giraffe-like long legs from playfuly leaping over and out. Visit with this loving, lumbering dog and you’ll want to take him home to be your new family friend.

Kaitlin
An exquisitely colored Calico with a moustache? Yes, and her name is Kaitlyn. She is a 2-year-old former stray kitty who sports a colored patchwork coat of ginger, satin, and ivory. She came to the shelter as a single mom with three kittens, all who were adopted, and she’s ready to start a new life as an independent lady. Being quite socialable and talkative, she is willing to share her new home with other cats or is just as content to be the only feline in the house. Whatever the case, she asks only that she gets plenty of attention, affection, and food. Share a few moments with Kaitlynn and you’ll find yourself falling deeply in love and wondering why it took you so long to find her.

Pets of the Week December 14, 2015

Christin
This beautiful brindle Boxer mix is a happy go-getter who loves to run and play. At only one-year-old, Christin’s youth and liveliness make her a joy to be around. With spirited Boxer energy, Christin loves exercising outdoors where she has plenty of space to stretch her legs. She loves play time with other dogs, with her toys, and all members of the family. Christin encourages others to seek happiness rather than fret about the worries of life. It’s all just a game to her. To prevent bordom related behaviors, positive reinforcement training will quickly help her to be the ideal family pet.

Waffles
Waffles is a ?handsome, brown tabby boy who loves to cuddle and play. ? Some say that tabby cat personalities are distinct from other cats in the sense that they are more like the personalities of dogs. ??? And this is certainly true of this tabby love bug who loves to ?clown around and explore. Waffles? ?enjoys being indoors and out?, having the opportunity to experience the variety of life. He is amusing, clever, warmly affectionate, and is simply a wonderful companion cat.

Pets of the Week December 7, 2015

Miles
Bright-eyed and bouncy, Miles is a 50 lb, one-year-old Hound mix who is eager to learn the skills of being a gentleman dog. He has been bounced from home-to-home and for much of his short life and has not known real family stability. With his charming “Petey-like” tan patch around one eye and wiggly and white body, Miles is a real looker. His perfect home would be with people who let him be a true member of the family, lounging on the couch, playing fetch in the yard, or enjoying family walks. Miles loves attention, playing, and fully expressing himself, which means being the happy goofball that he is. With some loving patience and effort, Miles is the perfect dog in the making.

Rhea
Rhea is a beautiful dusky buff Tabby, with lemon yellow eyes, who was found abandoned and very pregnant. Soon after she arrived at the shelter she went to a foster home where she was able to raise her kittens in a safe and healthy environment. After her kittens were weaned, Rhea was eager to resume her single independent life. She enjoys affection, attention, and sweet pats on the head. Once Rhea sets her intention, it’s a done deal. If she wishes to play, take a stroll, or nap — she will. It’s that same “can do” spirit that helped her survive living in the streets and raising a family. She has set her sights to finding her forever home and wouldn’t settle for less than being a pet of the week.

Pets of the Week November 30, 2015

Azula
Always full of fun surprises, Azula is a ginger and white, Hound/Weimeraner mix just under one-year-old. She loves playing, running, frolicking, romping, or basically any activity that keeps her amused. This pooch’s perfect match is someone who will let her be part of the home and give her the extra attention she needs to be all that she can be. Azula is very intelligent and teachable. She desires to please and protect, so she comes with a pre-installed natural warning feature. She will vocally alert you whenever a stranger is approaching and/or something has changed. All that for no extra charge! Because she wants to give her love and attention to only one family, she would flourish better as the only pet in the household. If you want fun, a new adoring friend, and have the skills to work with a doggie genius, then you want Azula.

Black Betty
Black Betty can best be described as a free spirit who loves room to roam where she can express her inner wild child. She was only five-weeks-old when she was found alone and meowing from underneath a building. She was rescued by a passerby and brought to the animal shelter where she received much love and attention. After living in a foster home for two months, she’s back at the shelter and as carefree as ever. She loves to climb and dash about, occasionally doing a sideways crab dance, and preferring to be at your feet, rather in your lap. She’s a high spunk gal full of entertaining antics and hijinks. Oooh, Black Betty, bam-a-lam.

Pets of the Week November 25, 2015

Maisy
Attention active people and go-getters! For those who would love a companion to run, walk, play, or just be goofy with, Maisy was made just for you. She is a lovesome 2-year-old shepherd mix who loves to get out and enjoy life; she is no “couch potato.” She displays the typical personality traits of a Shepherd — intelligence, strength, and loyalty. Even though she has a lot of playful energy, she uses it for romping or toy playing, not for jumping on people. When approaching her she instantly rolls over for a belly rub, a true sign of politeness. A companion for both people and dogs alike, she would make an ideal new addition to any family.

Tango
“Striking” is the best word to describe Tango. With a beautiful torbie coat and a very outgoing personality, Tango is an eye and heart-catcher for sure. If the stripes and splotches of her soft coat don’t mesmerize you, her cheerful meowing and friendly attitude will definitely steal all of your attention. Full grown at just over nine pounds, Tango is a smallish cat with a larger-than-life personality. She loves attention and returning it with lavish affection. She gets along with most cats, but really shines when she’s the center of attention. Tango is waiting for you, so don’t waste any time meeting her and making her a new member of your happy family.
