Pets of the Week January 14, 2019

JoyThere’s no need to delve too deeply into why this 6-year-old Terrier mix is named Joy. It’s immediately obvious due to her calm, laid-back personality and desire to spend as much time as possible with her people. She seems to be happiest when taking a long walk or snuggling with a favorite buddy, as opposed to chasing around toys. Joy is a pleasure to look at as well, with her lovely brindle coat accented with a splash of purest white on her chest. Plus, she gets along well with other dogs. So, in short, Joy is a true delight and is sure to bring happiness to any household lucky enough to claim her.

RaymondRaymond is quite possibly the definition of the perfect cat. He’s 4 years old, so he’s moved beyond the mischievous kitten stage and settled into what would be considered a more mature, chilled out, loving phase. That doesn’t mean he isn’t interested in toys, because he certainly enjoys the chance to bat around his favorite playthings, but ultimately, he wants attention from his humans, whether that means lots of scratches and belly rubs or the chance to settle down in a lap for a good long snooze. And yes, Raymond will gladly tell you what he wants, as he’s quite the talker. Swing by and meet him today.

RhondaRhonda is a princess, a worker, and a love bug rolled into one. This dappled-gray and white one-year-old Catahoula Leopard mix has both beauty and brains as well as a deep desire to please that is simply irresistible. Being a working breed, she has loads of energy, so she’s hoping for a home with a large fenced-in yard or at least the chance to take long walks consistently. Rhonda prefers the company of humans rather than that of other furry creatures, she loves treats, and is quite intelligent, so she should take to training easily. And when she’s done playing with her favorite toys, she’ll smooth in for a big hug and a long snuggle.

JillOne look at Jill, and you know right away that here is a cat who knows her own mind. And indeed she does. She is just over a year old, very self-assured, and simply lovely. A gorgeous brown Tabby with black highlights here and there, including on the bottoms of her feet, Jill is as pretty as she is affectionate. She adores attention from her humans, happily accepting scratches and cuddles and offering affection in return by way of head bumps, hugs, and a gentle purr. Jill does like her own space, however, when it comes to other critters and is hoping to find a home where she can receive ALL of the TLC.

DenoThe first thing that pops into your mind when you meet Deno is that he is one silly pup. And he is. From his comical expressions to his innocently sweet personality, he is sure to make you laugh every day. Deno is a 1-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix with a white chin and a strip of white down his chest. Being a young fellow, he has plenty of energy, seeming to love squeaky toys more than anything else. And, of course, he also wants to spend time with his people. He gets along well with other dogs, and is overall, just a wonderfully even-tempered pooch. Come meet Deno today.

MelissaIs your family missing something? Perhaps a special animal that wants nothing more than to curl up in your lap while you read or watch TV? If so, than look no further than Melissa. This gorgeous 1-year-old Calico is a gentle soul who’s grown out of that playful kitten stage, much preferring to simply relax in a favorite spot and be adored. Her orange, black, and white coat is truly magnificent, and her yellow-golden eyes radiate intelligence. Melissa likes having her humans all to herself, and she’s hoping that perfect someone is going to come along and treat her like the princess she is.

FeFeWith a name like Fefe, you might be expecting a dainty, curly-haired little pooch, but don’t let appearances deceive you. This 2-year-old brown and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix might look tough, but she’s actually a real softy. She loves nothing more than cuddling in a lap, and she’d probably be delighted to get her nails painted and have pretty things to wear. Being a young dog, she can be quite energetic, but she’d much rather take a walk or settle on the couch to watch a movie than chase a tennis ball. Fefe seems to like male dogs, but wants to be the only queen in the castle. Come visit Fefe today. She’s sure to claim your heart.

RollyRolly is, without a doubt, one of the best cats you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting. She is the girl next door, the pageant beauty, and the sophisticated queen all rolled into one. You can’t ask for more as this stunning 9-month-old, brown and white Tabby lays in your arms, softly purring and locking her golden eyes on you. She greets you with kindness, hoping for an ear scratch or a cuddle, but she’s never demanding and certainly accepts a sweet hello and gentle pet. You’ll want to meet this All-American girl, for she’s going to fill your home with wholesome goodness, royalty, and good old-fashioned love.
