Happy Death Day 2U

Not quite as fun as the original. Happy Death Day 2U gives us a bit of a genre swap. More SciFi film than horror.

We start off the film with someone else stuck in a murder loop. This transitions to Tree in an alternate reality in another murder loop. An alternate reality where her mother is alive and Carter is dating Danielle.

The cause of the loops is explained. It’s ok. But I would have enjoyed it more if there was no explanation and the phenomenon hit different people. Almost like It Follows.

Still this was a fun film to watch. I hope they can make a third film since the after credits scene leaves it wide open for another.

Starring: Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Phi Vu, Suraj Sharma, Sarah Yarkin, Rachel Matthews, Ruby Modine, Steve Zissis, Charles Aitken, Laura Clifton, Missy Yager, Jason Bayle, Rob Mello

Synopsis: Collegian Tree Gelbman wakes up in horror to learn that she’s stuck in a parallel universe. Her boyfriend Carter is now with someone else, and her friends and fellow students seem to be completely different versions of themselves. When Tree discovers that Carter’s roommate has been altering time, she finds herself once again the target of a masked killer. When the psychopath starts to go after her inner circle, Tree soon realizes that she must die over and over again to save everyone.

PumbaaThere’s no question why Pumbaa was given his name, for it fits him to a T. He’s a kindhearted goofball. Plus, he’s a lovely fawn color with big, prominent ears, so he even looks a bit like his namesake. But it’s his personality that will win you over. At right around 18 months old, he’s loaded with energy, so he will need a yard in which to run or plenty of nice long walks. He loves spending time with people, but he’s also quite capable of entertaining himself, and best of all, he’s extremely polite and never pushy. Pumbaa adores food and treats, but he takes any offerings very gently. Overall, he’s just a great dog, and he hopes you’ll feel the same.

MaddieMaddie is all dressed up and ready to party with her new family. This gorgeous 5-month-old black-and-white tuxedo kitty is truly something special. She has plenty of energy, as you would expect from such a young cat, but she has just as much love and affection, and she’s hoping to find someone who will give it back ten-fold. She’s special in another way as well – she’s FIV positive, but that’s not a big deal for her or anyone else. Maddie is happy, healthy, and ready for a forever home.

HankThere’s no denying it – Hank is one handsome boy. With his brindle and white coat and big brown eyes, he simply can’t be ignored. Not that he’d let you. He LOVES attention, especially if that attention involves toys and the chance to run off some energy. And he has plenty of that. At right around two years old, this Hound mix has plenty of pizzazz, but he also has just as much heart. All he wants in life is a family that will allow him to be the goofy pup that he is. Hank is waiting. Maybe he’s waiting for you.

DaraDara is a wonderfully easygoing kitty who’s looking for that special someone. Because of her previous life as a stray, she has FIV. But don’t let that worry you. She’s ready to provide many years of companionship, especially if she’s allowed to do her favorite thing – sit in your lap and simply be adored. This lovely one-and-a-half-year-old grey and brown tabby truly is the whole package. She loves other cats, is great with kids, and is content with the simple things in life. Come meet sweet Dara today. You won’t be disappointed.

JaggerJagger wants the world to know that he really is a rock star. He’s smart, funny, athletic, and eager to please. Oh, and he’s handsome as well, with his sleek black and white coat and big brown eyes. This gorgeous terrier mix has it all. And at just over a year old, he has a lot of life ahead of him to prove just how wonderful he is. He loves toys and treats and seems excited to make friends with other dogs. Jagger would be delighted to find a family that would take him to the park or on long walks because he really enjoys stretching his legs. Once you meet him, he’s sure to become your leading man.

FalijaA truly spoiled princess in training, Falija likes her creature comforts and seems to believe she exists simply to be adored. She likes nothing better than to spend her days lounging in her comfy bed, which MUST contain her fluffy soft blanket, and snuggle down for a much-deserved nap. She looks the part of a princess as well. She is quite the beauty – a 9-month-old blue-gray kitty with golden-yellow eyes. But her appeal goes beyond her looks, for she’s also very intelligent. Falija isn’t particularly interested in toys, preferring to be petted and cuddled. Perhaps your home is the castle she’s been hoping for.

SimonSimon says, “Come to the shelter to find your new best friend.” Simon says, “Pick me.” You have to do what Simon says, right? This 18-month-old black lab mix LOVES being outside, whether it’s chasing a favorite toy or walking politely on leash around the grounds, and he’s practically begging to be someone’s hiking buddy. He’s good with other dogs, and he adores his human companions. He longs for closeness and is eager to prove that he’s both affectionate and intelligent. Most of all, he’s hoping to play a game of Simon Says with his new family very soon.

ShastaShasta is just as pretty as a daisy with a personality to match. She’s a lovely 1-year-old brown Tabby with dazzling golden-orange eyes that will immediately grab your attention. But this pretty kitty’s appeal is more than fur deep. She is cheerful and fun-loving with a great fondness for toys and stuffed animals with which she can snuggle when she’s finished with playtime. Shasta also welcomes pets and scratches, so she’s likely to spend plenty of time curled up in your lap. Ask to meet this special feline before someone else claims her.
