Pets of the Week May 15, 2017

Sure and steady Baylee is in the elite group of dogs enrolled in the Pawsitive Prison Program. She has learned over twenty skills and secured herself as a crowd favorite. She loves people and people love her. Baylee prefers to be the only dog in the family and otherwise, is laid back and lazy. However, if you would like a dog to keep you aware of any approaching visitors, Baylee will be glad to oblige. Loving, potty-trained, respects her human’s belongings, and has the manners to stay off furniture — she’s the perfect indoor doggie friend!

With her ears perfectly perked and honeydew melon eyes staring “off stage” for dramatic effect, Joan is a superstar cat who will steal the show. This theatrical black and tan Tabby has a flare for getting attention. Adore me, she says! Pet me, she says! Fluff my bed, she says! But this darling diva’s demands are well-deserved for she will move mountains to show you love. Joan is a demure lady who thrives in the spotlight both to entertain and put a smile on your heart.

Rylie can be quiet and calm, but say her name and this 4-year-old girl will leap to come over and give you kitty love. This good-looking Black and Brown Tabby prefers the outdoor life — lying lazily in the sun, watching nature, and playing with whatever passes by. Rylie has learned how to use her captivating yellow eyes to get whatever she wants. Whether you’re hypnotized at first glance and willingly accommodate or she wears you down with a stare, this girl can work it. Rylie’s available at Petsmart in Greenwood and looking forward to looking at you in the eyes.

You’ll never have a bad day with Mollie. Giving enormous hugs is her way of telling you you’re fantastic and lovable. She will rest her head on your chest and wrap her paws around your waist. Molly is a 2 ½-year-old, ember-colored Retriever mix who will help start each day on a positive note. She’s playful and a lover of walks and delights in any activity that involves people. Visit Molly and she’ll teach you how to appreciate the simple things of life.

There’s no question that Camellia is as pretty as the flower itself, but her personality is what truly blossoms. Pets of the Week April 24, 2017

Norma, the cat, loves dogs. If there’s a lonely cat-loving canine looking for a new best friend, Norma would like to apply for the position. Patient humans who will allow her space are also fine, but other felines she’d rather live without. She’s an 8-month-old Tabby whose variegated browns blend like a creamy cappuccino. Petite and quiet, she’d love a low energy home where she can relax, except during doggie play time, of course.

Sporty Talia is in the elite group of dogs enrolled in the Pawsitive Prison Program. She has learned over twenty commands and acquired the social skills to smoothly mingle and thrive in all circles. At just under two-years-old, she is a doggie prodigy far surpassing more mature dogs with her specialized training. She has a puppy mind and heart, loving squeaky toys and other appropriate chewable items. As an active dog, running and chasing tennis balls is a favorite pastime, as is curling up in someone’s lap and cuddling.

Pets of the Week April 17, 2017

Showing off contemporary style and youthful good looks, Eric is an 11-month-old heartthrob who could easily be the “coverdog” of a canine version of GQ magazine. His coat looks like caramel candy drops melting over a vanilla bean milkshake and his pink nose is the cherry on top. Eric loves to play in the water or zip around the yard to catch his favorite football or tennis ball, always welcoming a new game. If he can play those games with his humans, he’s reached the height of happiness. Passing out kisses and gigantic grins, Eric is full of heart and the desire to find his new best friend.

Cleopatra is dazzling with her classic colors and hypnotizing green eyes. (The blue collar is only temporary to keep her from bothering her spay incision.) Cleopatra is a mature cat, gentle, refined and lovely both inside and out. A dusted taupe and black cloak lays perfectly across her back, allowing her stark white accents to peek out from underneath like a crisp, new blouse. This flawless beauty queen will be the ruler of your heart and home, but it will all be done with great love and affection. Asking for nothing more than kindness and a soft, cozy bed…or maybe a crown…Cleopatra will add both love and beauty to your home.
