Pets of the Week August 1, 2016

LokiLoki is a Beagle blended pup named after the fictional Norse god known to be a trickster. And this 2-year-old, medium-sized guy lives up to the mischievous namesake. He loves to run and as he playfully darts around your feet, you can almost hear him daring, “Catch me if you can!” By game’s end he’s happy to be caught up and given a hug and some cuddles. If he were to write his own personal ad, it would simply read: “Full of life and energy, fascinated by the world, enjoys the outdoors, lover of attention, and seeker of play.”

PeachesWhat better name for a warm, fuzzy, and sweet cat than “Peaches?” This plus-size girl is sassy and proud, and the kind of friend who will tell you exactly what she thinks. Being the single-minded cat that she is, she also prefers to be the only cat that there is. She, alone, is more than capable to fulfill your pet companionship needs. She is just peachy with the comforts of indoor life, food and water dishes filled to the brim, and dreams of endless fluffy pillows to sleep upon. Visit this gorgeous brown tabby kitty and enjoy the uniqueness that is all Peaches.

Pets of the Week July 25, 2016

Veronica3-year-old, 30 lb. Boston Terrier mix, Veronica, is a combination of terrier enthusiasm and Bulldog gentle sweetness and good sense. She has a sly sense of humor and loves to clown around. She is smart, enjoys plenty of attention and loves to be with people, especially if that means sitting on a lap or sharing a bed or sofa. She’s definitely a cuddler and a snuggler. Veronica can entertain herself, especially if she has a favorite toy or two, but she’d much rather be doing something with her family.

Gladys-PetuniaSlender, sleek, and silly are these satin black twin sisters. Gladys and Petunia were born in foster care and, now at 3-months-old, are more than ready to be adopted. These girls are fun with a capital “F” and, like human siblings, will flip-flop from playing to arguing for no evident reason. Adopting these two entertaining girls would bring lots of life and love to a home and figuring out which is which could be a fun family game.

Pets of the Week July 18, 2016

Freddie14 lb. Freddie is a 1-yr-old Beagle and Dachshund mix, also known as a Doxle. He is a package of affection, good behavior and friendliness. Being extremely patient and polite, he would make a good pet who would play with all patience and interest with children, and cooperate with your other pets, including dogs. His loyalty, alertness and curiosity all sum up as a good guard of your household. Freddie is social, and loves to see himself surrounded by human friends and being an integral part of your family.

LucyLucy is 13-years-old, very calm and quiet, and a bit bashful. It’s understandable that at her age and stage in life, to find herself in an animal shelter is unsettling. But she is learning to adapt to change and showing a bit more of her sweet personality each day. She likes to snuggle in blankets and curl in a lap because that feels safe to her. She needs a quiet home to enjoy the rest of her happy years. Visit Lucy and allow her gracious spirit to open your heart.

Pets of the Week July 11, 2016

Dill
Dill appears to be a young, mixed Carolina Dog. He is medium-sized, has the tell-tale tall ears, well-developed chest, and tucked up belly that are signature features of the breed. Another indication is that he’s a bit bashful. After learning that you’re a trustworthy soul, he will craftily sneak kisses and retreat to watch for your reaction. He finds security and comfort in order and calm. Allowing him to be in his comfort zone will help him to naturally and easily learn to step outside of it. Like a true puppy dog, he loves toys and to run around the yard. This young and active guy needs plenty of room to romp and play. Matched with the right person, Dill will be an amazing and loyal companion dog.

Munchie
Petite and delicate Munchie is as beautiful of a cat as there can be. Her apple green eyes are mesmerizing and her multi-colored coat of yellow, tan, and orange, with contrasting black tabby stripes, make her a visual stand-out in any crowd. Couple her looks with her laid back and loving personality and this cat is the whole package! She likes other cats and dogs and people of all ages. Munchie is a turn-key pet, if there ever was one.

Pets of the Week July 4, 2016

Willie
3-year-old Willie is a Border Collie mix who loves people of all ages. This Camp Good Dog graduate is a “ladies’ man” at heart and fancies female doggy companionship. True to his breed, this herder by nature pooch does not think of cats as friends. He is a laid back family guy who wants kids to play with and a lap to rest on. Regular walks and involvement with his human friends will make a wonderful home life for Willie and family both.

Rupert
Rupert was born with a backwards front leg and an unique personality to match. He believes there is no need that he share his life with other animals because this smart cat knows he’s animal enough for all. And being the quirky cat genius that he is, too much activity and children, make him feel anxious. A calm home to serve as background for his center stage antics would be a dream come true for Rupert. An open mind and a big heart is all this guy needs to reward you with a most interesting kitty relationship you will know.
