Flaunting a deep, dark brindle coat with buckskin undertones and a dash of white on her nose, chest and toes, this fine-looking Boxer mix spreads the holiday cheer all year round. She enjoys the companionship of other dogs and always appreciates a good toy, but her true joy is passing out kisses to people of all ages. 2 years old and both active and calm, she can be described as a playful couch potato. Danica is without question a “pick of the litter.”

Whether Pilgrim’s known you for years or just introduced herself, this year old Tabby cat has a reputation of showering people with affection. A friend to all, Pilgrim will talk to you about the latest news, curl up next to you while you watch your favorite flick, and join you in all of your daily activities. This little doll is not only sugary sweet but downright gorgeous as her black tabby stripes fade into a light taupe undercoat. Pilgrim is pretty close to perfect, so if you’re a cat lover don’t let this one pass you by!

Pets of the Week December 5, 2016

monicaMonica is a true beauty, sporting a chocolate and caramel-colored brindle coat that’s accented by a splash of white on her nose. Not only is this 1 year old Boxer and Boston Terrier mix stunning to look at, but she’s cheerful, bright-eyed, and eager to love. Monica is a “dog” in training. She has a great personality and really wants to please the people she’s around. She only needs someone to take the time to help mold her into all that she can be. She’s always willing to catch the ball, loves to chase a tossed a toy, and would be just as happy to curl up and watch TV on the couch.

brownieBrownie may not be your typical chocolate color, but she is definitely a sweet treat. A calm, quiet, 1 year old lady, Brownie’s impossible to resist when she curls up in your arms and gives you gentle kisses. Beautiful both inside and out, her soft, muted black, medium length coat is unique as it’s highlighted by an undercoat of gray. Happy to be your one and only or the sibling of another sweet kitty, Brownie is a wonderful friend for all and a perfect girl for snuggle time.

She’s a medium-sized, gorgeous 9 month old Retriever mix and a dog who needs playful interaction with her humans. Fetching toys, taking hikes or walks, joy riding in the car, and enjoying other outdoor activities are her ideas for having the most fun. Talia is super smart, head over heels in love with people, and is the perfect fit for the active family.

coco-chanelTrue to her fashion icon namesake, Coco Chanel is a sophisticated and chic kitty whose spectacular medium-length courture coat is a mix of autumn browns and orange. An old injury has her jaw resting “cattywampus” but her unique look only makes her more eye-catching and irresistible. This elegant lady has an abundance of affection and her motor purrs virtually nonstop. Bring Coco to your home and her cat confidence will add style to your life.

maverickTenderhearted, devoted, and calm are traits that Maverick has in abundance. This wise, 8 year young Labrador’s only want is to share his life with yours. His offering of soft kisses, a contagious smile, and amber glances will make you want to wrap your arms around him and never let go. Maverick appreciates the simple joys of life — a gentle touch, a walk, or a quiet moment — and expects nothing for his return of loyal love.

burtonThis young, orange classic Tabby is a three-legged one-of-a-kind wonder. At only a couple months old, he was surviving on his own at The Burton Center. After coming to the shelter, all were astonished to discover that he had a severely malformed front leg. Dr. Paula Watkins offered to remove the leg to give this little boy kitty more physical freedom. Fully recovered, and much more comfortable with people, Burton is now available for adoption. For his safety, he needs to be an indoor cat and given space to adjust to homestyle living.

shadowWith a coat as black as coal and eyes of a “soul-reaching” green, 3 year old Shadow is an impressive noble aristocat. He appreciates fine food, a cushiony bed, lying in laps, and being adored. His calming purr and royal charm are hypnotic and will make you smitten with this big boy kitten. Shadow wants to be king of your home and will reward you with being a loyal friend until the very end.

tillyTilly’s mile-wide smile is obvious evidence that she’s the happiest dog of all time. Every day is a good day in Tilly’s world. This energetic pooch is all super model with her slate gray coat and long, slender legs. She prances through the yard showing herself off, then instantly switches to tomboy mode running around the yard after her favorite ball or squeak toy. Tilly is a young dog who has a lifetime of love to give and fun to live.
